It would depend on you. Anything could happen, but what would be likely? The fact that you've come to this point says something. Or, nothing. If we all realized we'd been here before, we wouldn't all be here, perhaps, or yet perhaps nature/existence loves a fun reduduncy at our expense. Kind of a cosmic joke.
In general, I'd say art is what happens, science is what happens, metaphysics and philosophy is what happens when people ask the good questions like yours. The "classics." Your post answers itself.

You might say, "your real life starts" just then, and only then. Answering generally, as the specifics are, rather zen-like, not given!

After about a week of realizing that everything in my surroundings was completely out of whack, I began to wonder just how clear things are when one moves on to a new situation and finds only familiar things. It begs the question, what is it that keeps drawing you in when your whole life has been spent dreaming of how you shouldn't be there? And where does one go?

The answer of course is wherever one feels drawn to. In the light of today, you can never remember what it's like to die, you only know that some people leave and don't come back. Some people. You see a body, maybe you even poke it with a stick, maybe you even touch it, but what you're touching is what is left behind, not what is continuous.

The question becomes, when far too many people realize they've done all this before, what is the outcome of that realization?

To be more specific, what happens when what you are really looking for, is something that you have not yet imagined? ;o)
