But like Montalk said... awareness is the key that will tide you over.    I can't think of anything else that we already don't know... like drinking alot of water... that would be a big help.

Of course if I take what turns out to be a simple mail routing mistake so personally that I get resentful of the person for "ignoring" my email, then I can very easily be yanked around by "gremlins" who know that sorta thing works for splitting me from potentially positive contacts. Think about it... between the receiver not receiving due to mail error, and the sender not receiving a sent reply due to mail error, there's two instances in a single communication where things can go very wrong.

On the other hand, if I barrage someone with so many weird emails or demands for their time that they stop responding, then I don't know what is worse, for them to not respond and leave me hanging, or for them to write back and frankly explain to me what my problem is that made them stop the correspondence. Hard to tell whether a genuine lack of response is due to a receiver being insensitive or lazy, or a sender being emotionally insecure and overdemanding.

The one thing I had to learn about this over the years is that due to freewill reasons, my choice to write someone does not obligate them to return the energy in a reply of equal caliber. They still have their choice as to how to manage their time and energy. To expect and demand (extort) reciprocation and get offended when that doesn't happen says more about my own self-importance and controlling nature than their callousness.

How about when people don't answer heartfelt and sincere e-mails which were sent without ulterior motives? Of course this is not reason to take anything personally.

I don't know Star Cat...it's probably best to ask that person directly. Send them another email, ask them if they received your email. 

I know that I once received a "testing the waters" email by a NR reader who had read one of my bits on my website, and wanted to see if I was open to answering some questions and having a discussion, and I thought that was a great approach.  Instead of just sending off a long email and dropping stuff on me she tested the waters first, which was nice, and considerate.  Not everybody does that.  Point being, sometimes people just don't respond well to "unsolicited emails", for lack of a better way to put it, even if they were sincere and well intentioned and "without ulterior motives."   I don't know the situation between you and the person you emailed - maybe you caught that person off guard?  Maybe they were like, Wow, I don't even know you, what's all this??  There's always the possibility that they didn't even get the email too.  Sometimes emails get lost in the shuffle, or automatically dropped into people's Bulk Spam folders for no logical reason.  I've had several people from NR accidentally wind up in my bulk spam folder...and these were people I'd emailed with before with no issues.  All of a sudden Yahoo decided to label them as spam and tossed 'em in the bulk folder!   So good thing I had this "funny feeling" to double check the bulk spam folder before I automatically emptied the contents. 

Anyway, some ideas to think about...

Just kidding. I know mercury retrogrades can be rough. For me, the week before retrograde has always been the worst. They are like extended lunar windows that hit hard in the realm of communication, travel, and technology. The natural effect is made worse by negs capitalizing upon the opportunity to sow discord between people via nudged misunderstandings, programmed false assumptions, and amplified stupidity. If you're not personally involved, then sit back and watch the puppet show for what it is.

As for offsetting these sorts of things, well ... in my case a combination of awareness, self-control, intent, and attitude have worked alright.

If I become aware of some problem ahead of time, then I am empowered to choose a less probable and more conscious course of action, which in some cases prevents that very problem from trying to erupt in the first place.

As for self-control, you may notice that regrettable words were spoken with a hasty impulse that came from someplace within you that was not part of you. If you can identify that impulse and not act on it, then problem solved. You don't speak your line and the script fails to advance.

If necessary, in the mornings I can very adamantly intend that the day progress without incident. Why not...it works most of the time.

And attitude... well, the more reactive, pissy, amped up, self-absorbed, grumpy, tired, fatigued, depressed, nervous, fearful, etc... I might be, the more some incident will get a rise out of me, the more likely that incident will manifest for that very reason. I mean a farmer milks a cow because the cow is ready for milking. Changing my attitude is never easy, but if I succeed then things turn around, even during "hot" days when the hyperdimensional barometer is low and thunder's been rolling.

Anyway, say what you need to say, but watch how you say it. Even if you say it well, others may misinterpret it, but time will show you never crossed the line and fools will be revealed for their foolishness. Cave is a good idea. Bear might take it the wrong way.

You're right....I double checked and it seems that it actually goes retrograde on July 4th. So, my error there.  But hmm....being that you experienced communications mishaps today in your personal life, and there was one on the forum this morning between two NR posters, makes me think of what Ellie Crystal once noted - that the effects of Mercury Retrograde will start about three days before it fully goes retrograde, and also last up to three days after it goes regular again.   So basically just like the full/new moon period windows that extend three days before and after.  That's probably what's happening here......

I know the invisibility part of the thread is old, but it struck a chord with me.  My friends are always amazed at how I can move through crowds at concerts to get to the front.  I never thought I was pulling in my energy, but this may have been a side affect of what I was doing.  But I noticed most people would part for me, even in the densest of crowds.  Hmmm..  I need to try this in a more controlled setting.

I'd give it until about three days after Mercury goes direct (comes out of retrograde.)  So since it goes direct on the 25th, try by the 28th or so. You'll be clear then.  Of course, follow your instincts on this. There's no real "right or wrong." Any time post the 25th would be fine.

Oh, another thing - retrograde times are GREAT times for doing research, planning your strategy, and fine-tuning your plans for when Mercury goes out of retrograde. So they can be extremely productive times for brainstorming, gathering steam, and accumulating information. It's just not such a great time for taking aggressive action. Those energies will be better rewarded post-retrograde.
