The easiest way to travel to a probable past seems like in dreams. I've seen myself back in school or back in military service many times. Of course these trips didn't change my "daily life memories" about my school life etc. but the more I search the subject, the more I see dreams as a voyage to other dimensions - most of them unknown. Maybe we have to CHOOSE a permanent timeline to be on this 3D environment and our brains always choose what they get used to.

Or maybe this is one very succesful way for some hyperdimensional beings to keep us in a prison. Because our minds heavily tend to think -without any doubt- as "I gave up these ideas though because I believed that it was impossible for reality to have changed.." as capitan said in first post.

The last piece I read was Into the Void which may be found at;

http://www.zoe7.com/intothevoid_excerpts.htm

PS: Did I take this link from NR, I'm not sure now?

I had a feel it could also be a symbolic situation representing the "fight for the goverment". But as far as i know there hasnt been any combat in DC where they had sandbags. (Last big war being in 1945 and i'm pretty sure they didnt have assault rifles then) which is the weapon my mind assumed they would be having. So i cant promise anything certain

I've been in a past life regression therapy once. I remeber 3 lives, in one i was building a temple in some part of india i think. It looked "shorter" so i cant be sure, in another i was... if i remeber correctly a tribesman in africa and in one i was a noble woman in north germany in the 1800-1900's. I remeber exact events of that life and its weird because you are, unlike in a normal meditation, just observing what is going on and you dont do anything about what is happening.

Anyway, a month or so back when i was visiting washington i could almost "see" soldiers fighting in the streets and there being sandbags on corners and gunfights and such. Nothing for physical ofcourse but it was on the "edge" of what i could see. It could be from the past or from the future but it felt rather strange

I remember watching 'What the Bleep do we Know' the movie; and in there they mention the brain does not know the difference between what it sees and what it remembers and they get a lot into how what we see is being seen only inside our head, and its being processed and analyzed to a final display based on i dunno a lot of things like beliefs and your own judgment and biases.
As far as remembering goes I can remember back to being a baby in the nursery. I remember a tiny moment of what it was like being in that nursery with all those other babys around me it was wierd it was more of a wtf feeling omg everyone else is crying so im gonna cry wtf is going on lol.
Anyways I think all of this is more subjective than we realize being the 'observer'.
Oh yeah I'd also like to share an experience of a time when I had passed out due to hyperventalating (actually my first oobe) and I was carried back to my room to lay down with all my friends around me being so overwhelmed by what had just happend to me. I could not remember any of them, it was a feeling of I know who you are but I have no idea who you are. Eventually all the memories of the past hit me, luckily I didn't lose my memory.

***EDIT***
Oh yeah and an even wierder thing about gaining memories back, after that first out of body experience, I gained a couple memories of some type of life preparing me for this one it was really strange.

I have been talking about this with my sister. We were very close when we were teenagers, I am 2 yrs older, but we did everything together. We found that there were things that she clearly remembers us doing, but I dont and vice versa. Now I can understand the small things not being remembered, its just a matter of what you focus your attention on at that moment, but some of the really big things that went down, we either saw it in a completely different way or one of us didnt remember it at all. For example, we decided to drive around out in the middle of nowhere with a couple of guys we knew. you now how it is when your'e a teenager, just get in the car and drive! We were on a back country road among rolling farm fields and hills, up in the distance we could clearly see what looked like a very small town with a church and a few houses. As we approached this town, the road ran right in front of the church, with houses on the opposite side. we saw a group of people standing in the road in front of the church. There was a man crouched in the middle of the road with a rifle pointed at our car! I kid you not, as we got closer, since we weren't quite believing what we were seeing. we notice all these people staring at us, women clutching their children and babies as if we were godzilla ready to stomp on them. As were got closer the man with the rifle got up and staring running at the car screaming for us to get away from them or he would shoot. So the guys driving our car did the movie 360 with the car and we got the hell outta there! Okay, now we weren' smoking pot or anything that day, it was just a nice drive in country, and it scared the crap out of us because we couldnt understand what just happened to us. We even went back a month later looking for that town, and we couldnt find it! The name of the town escapes me, but I do remember a sign in front of the church and looking that name up on a map of the area the next day and there was no listing for that town. My sister says she only vaguely remembers it happening, and I dont know where the two guys that were with us are now, because I am wondering if they remember it. Maybe we came upon something we werent supposed to. Who knows, but you would think something that exciting would have stayed with my sister. Another story along those lines. I had been painting some furniture and got a dot of black paint on the shin of my LEFT pantleg. About a month later, I was putting those same jeans on, now mind you I was entirely aware of that dot of black paint every time i put these jeans on, well that dot moved to the opposite pantleg, I swear to god!! My friends keep making fun of me on this one, but I know it moved because I was so conscious of it all the time. It reminded me of Richard Lewis in the movie "Men In Tights", where the mole on his face moved around all the time.

I notice such things almost daily, things change from what they were supposed to be. Infact, when i learned reiki i was taught that one of the easiest things is to change the past. So in the spiritual community it is widely known that the past can be changed. Me and a friend of mine when we were talking outside and walking around we encountered a time bubble atleast once or twice a week. usually daily. The effect that suddenly sounds all around "stop" and nothing can be heard, and if you clap your hands or whistle or anything it sounds like you are in a box. Instead of the long "thomp" sound when you hit your hands together there was a sort of "Tonk" as if the sound came from all directions at precicely the same time. Almost without and echo. And the feeling was accompanied by a sense of fear and dread but we never saw anything. Then a few minutes later the bubble is broken and then sounds return to normal with cars passing by almost every second and if nothing ever happened.

I dont remeber large scale events and what has changed but i do remeber small things. Like people changing suddenly and not remebering some things and such that has happened and things we've done. If these were small things it would be okay, but it starts to bug me quite alot.

I haven't had this necessarily myself, but I DEFINITELY believe it's real, and has happened to others. On another messageboard forum I was on (maybe it was even this one, a long time ago) this very topic was addressed. Things got a little freaky, because one person did remember very specific things that were different, and cited a couple of examples............and one or two other people corraborated them. So yeah, it was kind of a trip to read that.

In The Forgotten, they change Telly's reality to erase her son. But the problem is, she never forgets, unlike everybody else. What's interesting is that her neighbor, Ash Correll, swore he didn't have a daughter; but with enough pressing and the right triggering, he finally, finally remembered. Then could not believe that he'd forgotten, like, How could I forget my own daughter?!?! !!!!

Tying into the abduction phenomenon, Montalk recently mentioned in another thread the concept of completely forgetting our abductions...but in those rare times he did remember a few, what he remembered was remembering all the other abductions that are normally gone from the waking, conscious mind. Thinking, "How did I forget all the times this has happened before!! ahh!" (paraphrase, of course. haha)

Pooling everything together - your experience knowing that it seems like some things were different in the past and that things have been changed, along with what I read on that other forum awhile back, and what Montalk mentioned, etc., there's no doubt that they're changing stuff all the time. And we just don't remember. We drift about our days, thinking everything normally the way we see it - it's ALWAYS been this way - but what if it's not? Like Telly's husband in the movie, who gradually loses all his memories. Not only of the dead son, but of Telly and his entire life with her. By the end, as far as he's concerned, he's just a bacholor working in the city. What wife? What kid? What family? What homelife? He "KNEW" what his identity was..........................................but it wasn't accurate.

Which is also reminiscent of "Dark City." Same concept. People's realities being rearranged and changed, memories altered, people assigned new personas, new names, new lives, new "characters" to play. New dramas to live out. All for the aliens' experiment. And almost nobody ever remembers or realizes anything is amiss. They just drift along, thinking everything is fine, and reality has always been as they "remember" it to be. This also ties into my Dolores Cannon thread and the whole bit about Nostradamus that we're discussing over there. The whole idea that Nostradamus was clearly seeing a future timeline that is clearly not happening right now. Does it mean it never happened, or that he was wrong, and wasn't really psychic after all? No. It means something was changed. For all we know, what he saw IS how it originally went. But they changed something, BIG time. And all we know and "remember" is what we see around us right now. Either that, or there was intervention and stuff was averted. Both are possibilities. Would be neat to find people who remember a different historical past then what we all remember. I've thought about this quite a few times over the years. Always with the idea of Hitler, and WWII, since that was the biggest thing to happen to the 20th century. Wondered about the (far fetched, yes, I know) concept of Hitler being a time traveler, or somehow inserted in, and all we remember is this version of reality with Hitler. But what if it wasn't the original version? You know, stuff like that.

This is one of those topics that can really give you the creeps when you stop and think about it for too long. !! How much of what we think we "know" about our reality, how much of our "memories" are really true and accurate? Are we really who we think we are?

Heebie jeebies!

This question makes more sense if you have seen the forgotten. The cassiopeans mention in their writings that the past is not set in stone just as variable as our future. I had a tough time thinking of how exactly a variable past might in fact work. I was thinking simply in terms of "Back to the Future" were Marty Mcfly messes with his past and almost causes himself not to exist. I foresaw that any change in the past would have too drastic a change on the present to allow for a variable past at all; simliar to the drastic changes in due to the butterfly affect.

In the movie the forgotten large changes are made to the past that change the present, but not signifigantly enough that the present is completely destroyed.

Anyway I was in my car and I heard a song I new but I swore it sounded different, and I started remembering times in my past when I could swear that something in my reality had been changed. Like the way I clearly remembered it was no longer the way it was. I gave up these ideas though because I believed that it was impossible for reality to have changed, and instead was just my mind acting up on me. I cannot now remember any examples of this, but I do know I have felt that it has happened to me in the past?

Anybody a strong enough personality to recognise this, but still rememeber what was changed?
