Hi Lemniscate!

The symbol you are referring to is more than likely associated with the jewish alphabet.

http://www.jewfaq.org/alephbet.htm

http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Gramma … f/kaf.html

I would dare to say that either the letters "Kaf" or "Khaf" are the ones being represented here for these letters are very important in the jewish language and the Qabala.

From the Qabala:

http://www.psyche.com/psyche/autiot/kaf.html

Regards,

Lee

I wonder if anyone's ever seen the symbol at this website http://www.biogeometry.com/english/biog.php (scroll down to the "L pendant")? It's
basically the number 7 with a circular notch in the corner. It would be
totally innocuous if it weren't for the intense feeling of familiarity.

Another individual to whom I showed it had the same reaction as I did
(without my even saying anything first). It's as if we'd seen it somewhere
before, but we cannot narrow it down. I've rummaged through several symbol
resources (books and internet), sci-fi websites, etc., yet have not found it. I
thought someone might have a clue. I don't like using things unless I know their
true origin.

The website uses similar concepts as those presented in Preston Nichols'
book "Music of Time". Interesting correlations.

Lemniscate
