I'd like to reiterate a concept I heard somewhere else that most american jobs are service jobs anymore. There are very few tangible items that any Americans create. So basically the way I am seeing it is that we all are working these paper jobs acomplishing worthless tasks that could be done easily if someone just went out and did them. I think a lot of what is going on is on purpose; just wasting enough of peoples time so that they can't sit around and think about this stuff and realize what the hell is really going on.

On top of that sadly no one seems to care about the plight of others as long as their new cd player is only 20 bucks, or their new jeans are 5$. As long as you are buying that stuff though, it is hard to point the finger at others when they do the same.

Maybe the people in those countries wouldn't be dirt poor and working in sweatshops if they had honest governments which were designed to actually protect the rights of its people. That's kind of a prerequisite to any sort of justice. Since we no longer have anything remotely resembling such a government even here in America, I'm more concerned about what's happening here in the USA. This country at least has a history of individualist thinking which might still be somewhat salvagable, whereas the Third World countries full of starving sweatshop workers don't have a clue at all. Yeah it's sad, but that's the way it's always been. The unpleasant fact of the matter is that there's an awful lot of human beings on Earth who are not far above the level of animals, and instead of giving them something to aspire to, we're instead quickly descending to their level.

This thought has been creeping up on my this week, I can't shake it loose, I will try to make it a formal as possible.

This omnipresent goal in America and other rich countries, is for it's hard working residents to have the most comfortable lives.
And these hard working people, some loving and wise, others mean and clever who achieve this goal live in sick luxuries.

For every wealthy household how much suffer, in the places that don't "exist" in the nightly news?
I'm talking about the sweatshops and Third World countries who suffer for every brand name store.

It's not guilt that I write this out of, but these past weeks I have been trying to be fully aware and meditate alot.
So this droped it's claws into me and now I ponder. This is sick. Ofcourse I lack statistics and facts.
But I wonder if on T.V. people could watch Third World Countries - Would they care?
Is the modern age just filled with industrial countries, that fosters an "assembly line" lifestyle?

O but what a beautiful Dream.
