I've had personal experience with family members and other people's family members
who would certainly fit into the category of OP's, psychopaths and chaos causers.
There's even a whole family of them with one member who was constantly criticized
and ostracized for "not being with the program" and I've come to realize that this
person had said NO to the Christian family blueprint and was actually thinking for himself and
paid the price for being different.

I know some families where everyone seems on top of things spiritually and in harmony with each other. It's one of several different family "templates." Maybe the pattern of "second born is trouble" is specific to just one of those templates. Maybe we incarnate into a template that best fits our needs. You know, like warrior souls needing lots of adversity while healer souls may need more spiritual nurturing and tenderness (hypothetical reasons off the top of my head). But yeah, the complexity of interactions between karma, destiny, freewill, genetics, matrix, and divine intervention within the family boggle my mind.

Do you have any proof to back that up? There are plenty of female characters on the Simpsons who are dumb and rude (Marge's sisters, the two twin girls, Bart's teacher, etc. etc.)

I was the last born our of three in the family. I have a brother and a sister.. and quite literally they both are awesome. My sister was always very open minded reading the likes of castaneda, and even giving my tarot readings when I was plugged into the "matrix" so to speak (I wonder if I still am?). And that experience actually fortold that I would enbark on a "great adventure" which turned out to be the self-awakening adventure. My brother is awesome, we just have fun together and like the same kinda stuff. But we don't talk about anything near the lvl discussed here.

My parents on the other hand. Well my mom and dad has "issues" about 3-4 yrs ago and being the last child at home I was in the middle. Thankfully that led to my awakening. But it seems as though my dad would be the -soul? My mom is working towards bettering herself. My sister doesn't even have a relationship with my dad. And even as I write this I have a little anger towards my dad. Hmmmm. My dad has been very manipulative in the past. He lies, steals and cheats even with family affairs. But if it adds up mathematically, his "dark side" alignment would be huge! Haha. OH well. Its all fun.

Something rather pleasing to me is that, although my brother has always seemed more self-centered and "plugged in" than myself, lately he has began to "wake up"! I've been shocked recently to have him come and tell me things that I remember myself trying to tell him years ago. Alternative health issues, Big Brother/IRS, and a lot of other stuff. And while the stuff he brings me isnt quite as deep as some of the stuff we talk about here, its a good feeling to see him finally start to crack his eyes a bit and see the reality that isnt.

Actually its not a good feeling, its a great one. Because I thought for sure he was hopelessly plugged in.

Well I've got a little bro, and though he's made a lot of different choices than I have, such as staying close to home, etc., it is always astounding to me how we have pretty much arrived at the same conclusions about life.

I would say he's more 'plugged in' than I, but then again he's four years younger. So I dunno, that may throw a little wrench into the theory, but I thought I'd share.

That's possible, Risen. I am firstborn, and do find my sister to be a bit selfish and dysfunctional at times. My sister, second in the family, fits the pattern others have described on this thread, but my two brothers - third and fourth - are not selfish at all. They are even younger than her, but have not followed the same pattern. So in my case, it is strictly limited to the second.

Some other possibilities come to mind... the second receives lots of attention even while there is already another sibling present (due to being younger and needing more care), therefore this might create a perception of "I must be more special than the other" which turns into a sense of selfishness later on. Or maybe the second child is a chance for the parents to "do things right" after all the errors and regrets from raising the first, which swings too far the other way and creates a spoiled child instead.

But that's assuming environmental factors are the only ones. Metaphysical factors may also play a role, which is what some of the discussion above is implying. Even among infants and toddlers, some have more of a spark behind their eyes while others have far less. Even within the same family sometimes. I knew several examples of both during the early 90s while living in Iowa... recently I took a trip back and got to see what became of them. What I saw didn't surprise me. The ones with sparks became individualistic and sensitive pre-teens, while the others became neither. I think that whether someone has that 'something' determines whether they become molded by their environment or catalyzed by it.

I was just getting ready to reply that my brother was born 2nd and is also selfish, but then something occurred to me. It might not be that simple, it may actually be a matter of perspective. If the firstborn looks at the secondborn and it seems that way, it might just be because the firstborn (in this case, myself) is older and has outgrown the selfishness moreso than the second.

In my case, my brother has always seemed selfish and too consumed with things of this world (TV, video games). But thinking about it, so was I -- when I think of myself at his age.

So, I'm just saying perspective might be making our observations a bit biased here, if we are all firstborns?

It's well known that the elite send us hidden messages through the media and I've seen hidden messages in "The Simpsons" discussed on this board. I've been thinking recently about how there may be a major "hidden message" on the show that is so obvious everyone misses it: Bart and Lisa are almost exact opposites of each other. Could there be a more obvious illustration of this "family arrangement" than the one on the Simpsons? Going by the scale in the original post, I'd say Lisa would get a +1000 and Bart would get a -1000, perfectly proportional, IMHO.

Thanks Silverfox for the protection ritual! I've had numerous attacks at night in the dreamscape while going thru tough spots in my life and this will definitely help me in the future. I believe that our lessons/battles get greater the more "enlightened" we become and our armour is simply past lessons learned. I still am undecided on family members being OPs, but there were times I felt sure of it. I only know that without going through those experiences I would not be the person I am today. I think the key is allowance and extrication and protection of yourself from their life lessons.

If you have an interaction withsomeone and feel anywhere from neutral thru energized, thass good,; they are good for you and v-v.

If you have an interaction with someone and feel drained, they are not good for you.

When you do the Tibetan protection ritual I put on the "Healers Awaken" issue, IF anyone is negatively impacting your energy, you will dream of them in the guise of some animal with fangs...but you will still know who it is, and you will deal with them appropriately in the dream and not need to act in 3-D. Pretty simple when ya know how. Wish I'd known how 20 years before I did learn it!!!
