It's worth whatever someone will pay for it, as far as I'm concerned. I know that production errors are valuable for coin collectors (I used to be one). Here's a coin dealer website with prices for some "errors":

I haven't heard so much about production errors for paper money, maybe that's why the Banana Dollar is worth even more.

I'd sell all my 20 dollar bills for half that much.

I saw a news story last night about a twenty dollar bill that's "worth $25,000." It's worth $25K because a Dole Banana sticker accidentally was woven into the bill, becoming a part of the currency. For its rareness, it's been appraised at, once again folks, $25K.

What the f@#%!

Okay, what was even weirder, was that the news anchors were, or seemed to be, impressed by the bill, like, "Wow...Man, I wish I had one of those...Ha, ha, ha."

In all fairness, I guess I wish I had a $20 bill worth $25,000, too. But I think it'd be an ethical dilemma for me to sell it to anyone for more than $20. Actually, I wish I had it so I could just wipe my ass with it and laugh: Muhahaha!
