Bad news.  You won't be able to see it in Vancouver.  Cameron made a post on the Venus Transit page on 04-03-27 that has a link.

I've been anticipating it however, even though I lack much knowledge on what it really is.

If I just sit outside on my balcony (in Vancouver) and look up at the stars, will I notice anything? Sounds like a stupid question!
