SOOOO, Ebens are vegetarians, eh? They're seet, they like to dance. How nice.

Well, all THAT aside, do you think the Serpo story has the ring of truth about it?

 WELL I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

NOPE, no sir, I think you can pretty much determine whether or not a story like the one about "Serpo" is a hoax or not by analyzing the prima facie evidence, and on this score I think it fails. By that I mean comparing one statement against another, and I believe the Serpo story is a hoax for a number of different prima facie reasons. I posted most of them on another site and got a reply from Bill Ryan that ignored my questions. This is from issues, like the inconsistent physics, aside. Ryan's not collaborating, at least not with me, on analyzing this story.

NOW, if we're going to believe something so fantastic and out of this world as this story of Serpo, then it should be put under microscopic examination first. I believe that Mr. Ryan is either the sole author or a contributor to the story, or that he may be unwittingly going along with the story for the sake of notoriety, and/or possibly other reasons. He's not really questioning it comprehensively, just begging for more time. He can get a lot of notoriety and mileage from what he's got so far, even if he never posts another thought about it,. He could kill off his fictional source and the legend survives.

Ok, MY MAJOR OBJECTION is that the Serpo story claims there was communication technology between Earth and the planet Serpo, yet there is no mention of its use in the 13 years it is reported the Earthlings were there. Why is that? If interplanetary communications had been used, why weren't the team members told what time it was with a phone call from home? Answer that one, Bill. Come on, wouldn't THEY have exchanged information during that time?

WHAT? "Deposit 500 billion dollars for the next ten seconds, please."

Nothing said about it. I brought this up to Ryan and there was no response to it except for him to say "wait and see." Okay. But what , do you want to geet sued by SOMINEX? We're waiting here! Story of the triple millenia. Hello, yeah, and I bet IFf there is another posting at serpo.org by "Request Anonymity," I'll wager this question is addressed as if it hadn't been raised.

REQUEST ANONYMITY?

Now, IT IS SAID the physics don't work the same in Zeta Reticuli as they do here? What? Could it be because the story isn't science, it is fiction? I'll place my bet on what's probable and Serpo, in the way it is described, isn't. There is nothing else to explain the contradictory physics away, and this is one story that I would love to believe in. I did for awhile until I had some reflection on it and did a little math.

 I'M A SENSIBLE GUY!

See, the INABILITY of the Ebens to understand English and vice versa doesn't make much sense to me, DOES IT TO YOU? Nor does the inability of the Ebens to understand time and space coordinates, even though THEY understood them well enough to find Earth, the same difficulty as finding and keeping track of A GRAIN OF SAND ON THE BEACH!

Oh yes! THEY report that an Eben was witnessed speaking English, so someone got better at either speaking it or understanding it. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? I thought they only understood 30%, and now here's some critter holding a press conference! Check the dates out on that and compare. RICHARD DOTY, who has been associated with this story, had his credibility impugned on Noory's Coast to Coast Show by an attorney, and because of his association with the Serpo story it was assumed BY THAT ATTORNEY that THE STORY IS FALSE.

But look, without putting anyone's credibility on the line, just look at the way it is being reported: THEY call the aliens "EBENS." ALRIGHTY then! BUT, the acronym they use at first is ETE for "Extraterrestrial Entity." Eben, however, is the acronym for "Extraterrestrial Biological Entity." After 13 years they continue calling them Ebens? But the planet is named "Serpo." Is that taken from an acronym? What did they cook that name up from? Maybe Zeta Reticuli Planet One, ZeRPO? Then wouldn't the inhabitants of that planet after a while be called "Zerpans?"

What else is on the menu?
Well, IF "Request Anonymity" wants to give this report some REAL validity then start giving us some names of real people who can be questioned. Yeah, if he or she is going to be such a hero or heroine, then why isn't he/she giving up the whole truth/lie? With pictures, maps and his/her name and credit card number, please? He/she says there is a 3,000 page Serpo report. Okay let's have it. What's the hold up? Why all this secrecy? CHOP CHOP. Make it snappy. If you're going to spill the beans, then why stop spilling now?

SPILL ALL THE BEANS NOW!

It is all too conveniently WEIRD. Come on everybody, GROW UP, use your brains!!!!! I don't think it happened, at least not the way Ryan is reporting it. Or maybe this is an intelligence test. If we fall for it, then the next thing they'll do is invite more Earthlings for longer stays.

VISIT SERPO . . . FREE!

Well, okay, maybe I'm wrong. I don't think I have ever come across information, channeled or otherwise, claiming that interstellar distances can be crossed instantly through physical crafts. Most say it's faster than light, but not infinite in speed. Some explantions say space is pulled towards the craft so that the distance is shorter, others say time is slowed down so that a long trip takes less time. There might be many different ways.

Hi montalk I try to not have much of an opinion untill their are more facts I have read a lot of SF and this sounds like SF to me. Also a good basic rule of thumb would be not to go with the majority and not to belive nothing untill the big change. As far as alien agenda I'm shure they have one but I'm not going to go no where with no alien.

I was a fun story to read but if you look closely in the "Consistencies" section the following was posted"

7) The scene of the exchangees departing Earth on the Eben craft appears to be cinematically portrayed in the final scene of the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind – with the same number of male and female personnel reported by Anonymous.

The final segment of the movie does indeed feature twelve people – ten men and two women. Twelve people is also the number given in Spielberg's book of the movie. Interestingly, one blonde woman stands out, first shown in a long close-up when the priest gives his blessing. Then, when the team members file past, all have dark glasses with the exception of the blonde... and Roy Neary, who would be the thirteenth member. The subsequent shot is where they line up, and now the woman is seen to have put on her dark glasses to join the others. This appears to be a flawed piece of direction, most untypical of Spielberg; the reader is left to speculate on any possible significance.

Also worthy of note is that all team members wear a triangular patch on their left arm and the American Flag on the right arm of their orange jumpsuits. There is a uniformed officer with the priest when the blessing is given.

It makes me wonder if somebody used Some information from the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and created the rest of the story or if Spielberg was given a few tidbits to develop the story. The fact that both stories have 12 humans (10 men and 2 women) is no coincidence at all!

Regards

I listened to the C2C show where Bill Ryan was talking all about it. Interesting interview. What's your opinion on it? I think it has factual basis, but why is it being revealed at this time...and what part of it could be spun towards a certain agenda? Overall it just comes off as more contrived PR for an imminent alien "first contact."

According to the documents, the Eben aliens are said to be incredibly advanced, yet are neither telepathic nor hyperdimensional...the doc also mentions Grays as coming from Alpha Centauri and that most of the hostile aliens were wiped out by the Ebens thousands of years ago, suggesting the Grays are for the most part "good." Whitley said it was very possible that these Ebens were among those he encountered during his "visitations."

Hmmm...it just doesn't sit right with me...The document and wording by Bill Ryan is just too slick, too "nice'n'concise" as though engineered for the average Joe Fringe. Coast to Coast is a popular outlet for this kind of stuff...reminds me of the Jonathon Reed "alien burrito" thing several years ago, except this time many UFO and Intelligence "experts" are backing it up, so that's why I think it might be part of a planned psyops.
