The alien glyph crop circle came off as phony to me because of the binary language used to encode the message, and because the grey looked very cliche' - seems someone tried very hard to push through the message. But if phony, then someone with some extreme technology must have been behind it. The C's confirm this and elaborate.
The pushiness (meaning non-subtlety) of the crop picture is typical of STS disinformation sources, whether it comes through manipulated nightly dreams, persuasion by matrix agents, etc... always pushy, hurried, and in some ways sloppy. Compare this to other crop circles that are subtle and perfect.
One thing the glyph message reminded me of is the zetatalk stuff where grays are presented as the good guys. If so, and the "consortium" is behind this, then toward what ends? If they want people to see the grays as good guys, then it must be in preparation of their open appearance, right? Or maybe just to dispell the growing uneasiness in the UFO community with the gray presence (see David Jacobs' book The Threat for an example).
More things to notice about the alien crop picture -- there were some microwave towers around the field...perhaps they were used to do this.

The chilbolton crop images were of a human face, and also of an altered version of a message once sent out by the Arecibo dish in the 70s to contact 'life out there'. Interestingly, the altered version had, among other things:
1) a picture of a large headed alien instead of a human figure
2) a short list of chemical elements identical to the Arecibo message except for the additional inclusion of silicon
3) a hybrid DNA consisting of two different strands intertwined together, instead of two identical strands as in the original Arecibo message
4) a population figure of 8.4 billion instead of 4.3 billion - if this refers to human population, then by standard trends we won't reach 8.4 billion until around 2020.
All designed to be intriguing, but misleading, like the "We OPpose deception" message.
Prior to these, there was one crop circle consisting of a square of horizontal lines. This appears to be a test run for the technology.

I do think many crop circles are genuine and that they can offer knowledge somehow. The knowledge may not only be encoded in their geometric design, but in the very way the stalks are laid down.

A: The first thing that was intended was to demonize the crop circle phenomenon. The second thing was to give those who are susceptible the impression that their favorite gray aliens might be "good guys." The third thing intended was to send a message of doubt directly to this room.
Q: (J) 'The conduit is closing.' Since the C's have talked about creating a conduit since the beginning, they are trying to convince us that the conduit is closing. What was the garbled word, was it believe, or is it believe?
A: It was believe. However the glitch was due to the application of the technology. This provides the clue to the STS source.
Q: (J) Okay so their amateur fumbling caused the glitch. (A) The guy is probably the glitch in the software. There was a noise...
A: Wishful thinking will get ya every time.
Q: (L) So they were wishfully thinking that they had everything perfect and they didn't. (A) Still I want to know if physical characteristics of this circle were matched with the physical characteristics of what would be considered authentic crop circle?
A: They can get close. But again, there are differences. These can be detected if one is aware and looking.
Q: (J) Is there any criteria you can give us to measure against, is there anything in particular to look for? Or would it pop out as something strange that doesn't make sense in a crop circle if you examine it? Or is there actual...
A: One thing to look for would be growth disruptions to the area. Real circles do not disrupt the creative principle.
Q: (J) Now would this be crop circles created by STS, STO, or both?
A: STO.
Q: (J) So STO doesn't disrupt the life cycle but, if it were STS then it would change it. That would make sense. Well, there again their effect: the coldness, the burning, the whole negativity of it, would logically disrupt the life cycle. As for the way that they do this: you say that it was directed from 4th density. Do they actually come in and have any kind of physical apparatus in the vicinity?
A: It was not done from 4D.
Q: (J) I'm not talking about the one that we're talking about this time, I'm talking about when STO creates a crop circle do they have a physical...
A: Real crop circles represent thoughts from 6th density unified thought realm.
Q: (J) Okay, and so that's why they don't disrupt the growth; because they're using thought forms as opposed to STS technology, either the 3D or 4D or what not. Have any crop circles been made by 4th density STS directly?
A: Very few and quite ineptly up to this point.

A: One comes up as a series of "symbols" similar to occult cipher. Check the data.
Q: (L) I think I've seen one like that. I noticed it because it was so different from all the purported authentic ones. This suggests, of course, that Rosemary Ellen Guiley, the woman who writes for Fate Magazine, and who claims that crop circles are produced by secret government technology, may have an 'inside line' to the Consortium. I thought so. So start looking at crop circles. (A) Well you remember there was a crop circle that they said it was Greek or something...(L) Anything else on this crop circle? Alright we're done with the crop circle.

Of course you can track this back to the famous Trojan horse (which had hidden soldiers inside).
There was a crop circle formation in 2002 which had the following message in the circular patterns when translated using ASCII code:
"Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. EELRIJUE. There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING [bell sound]"
I don't know if the formation was "real" or "faked". Either way, someone put a lot of effort into it. The encoded message was next to an "alien-looking" head. You can see pictures at these links:

Now I'm going to engage in some speculation. What might these false gifts be and what would be some potential negative effects?
We might see a scenario of rapidly rising oil and natural gas prices which leads to the collapse of energy grids. People want heat, light, cooling, and most of all TV!
Let's say millions of people lose their electricity. The government then announces that it has just discovered zero-point energy and they are giving away free devices that you can put in your home to power all your stuff.
Except these particular devices have been manufactured to do bad things like:
- mental and emotional influencing
- create condictions that lead over time to disease and death
People start to suspect something but all official studies indicate that the devices are harmless - just a thought.
So, if anyone every offers you "free" devices just remember that the offer may really be too good to be true.
