The meaning of life...

It's a different question depending upon context - anthropocentric or "universal".
Why restrict the scope to human beings? For LIFE is something far more diverse.

Think of marsupials, crustaceans, arthropods, fungi, plants, bacteria. All are life.
Do those entities have a *common* interpreted goal, intent, or end?? I think so.

Life's goal, its intent, its "end": evolution. What I like to call "biological altruism".
Production of increasingly complex entities, through natural selection and time...

To keep my response brief, I'll close with a question. Would life in other parts of
the universe have the "same" meaning? I say the answer is unequivocally, yes!!

I feel compelled to note... my answer "works" independent of organized religion.
I have the same evidence available to me, that everyone else does. Comments?

For some, it is to experience.

For some, it is to serve others.

For some, it is to serve self.

I don't think there's anything wrong with any of those reasons....everybody's different.   We're all at different stages.

The Bigger Picture reason of course ultimately is to serve the creator source, the whoever / whatever / wherever source from which we all came.  I once saw an image while in a meditative state that showed how we all come from an origin place, and burst out into reality to experience life in all its forms and variations as a giant extension of this craeator source origin.   In this image, we were all little points of lights, and every light was connected to every other one, all of which connected back to the source.  Don't know if its true, but it made sense to me.  Makes more sense than what most religions tell us!
