"Recycling," to me, implies that the technique is oriented to "sending a Neg to the light" as it were.  But I think also that people might have used that term because they uncomfortable with the idea of "erasing" a Neg.

There are many types of "Negs" out there, and some of them aren't intelligent like human beings, some of them have minds like animals do. 

...If a lion was trying to maul you, would you pause to open your heart chakra to it?... 

A lion might be able to sense/feel the intent and content of your love, but it might just maul you and eat you all the same.  And it doesn't eat you because it's evil, it eats you because it's trying to survive. 

I think, through experience, that trying to project love to some Negs is a waste of time because they either aren't capable of (intellectually/emotionally) understanding love, or, it simply is not a factor in their decisions at their particular level of evolution.     

(Sidebar: I saw a newstory not too long of a man in Asia who had climbed into the lion's den at a zoo.  He was reciting Christian scriptures to them, presumably as a test of his faith, and they mauled him--nearly ripping off his arm.)

About attracting further the Negs/strengthening their bond to me by using the technique of erasure:  ...Actually, the technique has worked for me.  It has ended the symptoms of psychic attack and made me feel better.  As I said before, it doesn't work everytime.  However, it works for me.  Using it effectively doesn't seem to be a function of faith either, but rather a function of focus.

I have several times had lessons invocing the powers of gods or whatever in order to get rid of negative energies, but the thing was it didn't matter what thing I called on; it only worked when I had 100% faith. You could pray to Kali or the Christ or ms Kuan Yin, or your Higher self, it had the same effect (that is: no effect at all without faith).   
Maybe it was due to the understanding of this christ consciousness; if you conceive it as something of pure white light as in opposition of the dark, in a polarized way, you might cause the scales to tip over and there would be a need for increasing flow of darkness. Just some theories.
I have heard some people claiming to use love as a way of selfdefense, (like david icke? Love the rept.-guys) and others that say it doesn't work at all; maybe it's more to do with the concept of love. If you really have no intent of truly loving these spiders; if you really feel like erasing them - can't blame you for that - or get rid of them by using what you believe to be love (I don't mean that you don't know what it is, or that I would have a better understanding here; just some thoughts of possible assistance), maybe that's tuning into the New Age concept of Love, you know "love & light" will save the day. I know I many times tend to think of love that way, although I do feel that true Love is something very different. Anyway, some people think love to be like gravity, and hate the opposite, and i believe that you do n o t want to attract these little creepy things, right?

I usually say something like " I ask that all energies that are not of love and light leave my field of consciousness in the name of Jesus Christ".

Thanks for your reply.  I believe I have, from time to time, gotten to hung up on the possibility of Negs in my space or environment.  I certainly don't meditate in order to be aware of them--I meditate in order to expand my awareness and become more whole, and even to become more loving.

I like your approach because it is simple--however, as you stated, it requires a belief in the power of love, and I guess, Jesus Christ.  Actually, I've tried those techniques with Negs--both repelling them with love and with Christ Consciousness.  Neither of them were effective for me. 

One time, during a waking paralysis episode I tried sending love to a "demon" trying to attack me--and I feel that I was sincere in my love--but it made the attack worse.  The Neg got further into my space.

And there was another specific occasion--not during a waking paralysis episode, but this happened as I was half-in and half-out of body--I invoked the power of Christ in order to stop Neg beings from clawing into my aura, and the energy that I invoked made the attack MUCH WORSE.  It was painful and it let the energies of Negs into my aura, seemingly, until I could force myself back into my body (after that being scared out of my wits).

It is possible that I didn't believe enough, or I wasn't sincere enough.  But my experience with love-techniques/invoking Christ haven't been helpful.  It could be, too, I was "supposed" to go through these experiences and that love and Christ Consciousness wasn't allowed to work by my Higher Self.

I have had other great experiences (in meditations and dreams) with the "Christ Consciousness," though.

I have a friend who was temporarily overshadowed--was in mega pain, and had trouble moving--by a Neg and says that she cast it out by asking it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ over and over again. 

But could a mantra or a repeated prayer, in some instances, be a way of erasing or duplicating a certain energy out of your space/aura.  For instance, think of the rocking that traumatized children perform to make themselves feel better.  Through repeating an action, physically, verbally or clairvoyantly you are probably building up a charge. 

In the case of positive affirmations one is, I think, creating a subconscious program (a program that they choose and like).

Erasure, or duplication, is different in that you aren't creating an energy, but...well, erasing it, by matching it over and over again.

I've seen the principle at work in alternative science/health.  The zapper, invented by Dr. Hulda Clark, for instance.  She claims she can eliminate bacteria, viruses or parasites from the body by running a direct electrical current through the body that resonates with the foreign invader.

I believe "erasure" works on a similar principle.

No, I don't think it works all the time.  It hasn't for me.  I've talked to other people, though, who say they use it to great effect--and, that when you get good at it--you can erase a Neg out of your space by projecting two or three images at it.

I have no idea whether erasure is permanent--I do know that it's gotten dense, yucky energies out of my aura and made me feel better.

I have never heard of this technique. From what you say, it doesn't always work, or you are not sure it works. In matters of choosing to be in the presence of light energies as opposed to dark energies, I have found that what you focus on has an impact. This teaching, whilst well intentioned, may have made you focus on these astral spiders at perhaps the expense of what you intended to meditate for.

I am not religious in the sense of attending church etc, but I am very spiritual and consider that there is no more effective force than love. In the name of seeking to be love and surrounded by love, i find it easy to challenge any energy that I feel is not of love. The key aspect is to what extent you beleive in the power of love, or Christ Consciousness as I prefer to call it. Buddha and other teachers were advocating the same thing. I just happen to have a good understanding of this energy as Christ Consciousness, and it works well for me. You can simply state that energies that are not of the light are not welcome. I usually say something like " I ask that all energies that are not of love and light leave my field of consciousness in the name of Jesus Christ". I trust this is so, because I have known its power through expereince.

The many times I have found my self dancing with the devil so to speak, is when I have a certain degree of fear, or put my trust in others who seemed more knowledgeable, without trusting and using my own intuition/higher self.

I get a sense that this "erasure" can become a game of hide and seek between you and these astral snakes and spiders. The duplication visualisation may also have the energetic effect of strengthening the link between you and these so called snakes and spiders. I think a more generic command to those of the snakes and spiders ilk might work bettter. Having faith that the power of love works is also a matter of faith of course. I also have a concern about any teacher that says anything that exists in the universe has no right to be here. All entities are of the Creation and indeed do come from the light. The key question is do they serve the light, or have they chosen to serve the dark.

Is was introduced to me by a meditation teacher, and it involves literally *erasing* lower-level Negative entities like astral snakes and spiders.

From my background in it, I understand it isn't effective (or really "ethical") to try to erase more complex beings.  He said DEFINITELY DO NOT try to erase another human's energy out of your aura because you'd incur karma for it.  But I was told by my teacher that there's an agreement between the Supreme Being and humans stipulating that it's okay to erase astral snakes and spiders.  He said this was the case because the astral snakes and spiders didn't really belong in our universe.  Or perhaps, he simply said that they didn't belong in our universe and I'm falsely remembering that he gave that as a reason for it being okay to do it.

My own roadtesting of it is pretty limited--I've tried it when encountering astral snakes and spiders in lucid dreams and projections...It's always hurt them, but I've never seen them completely vanish by my erasing action.  While awake I've only been able to see snakes and spiders very faintly behind my closed eyelids, though I've definitely felt them very strongly.  I've locked onto them in waking meditation, and tried the technique several times--sometimes it's successful, and the attack stops (I feel a release and lightening in the area of my aura where I felt the attachment), and other times I don't have very much certainty with it because I only see them faintly or not at all. 

It's a simple technique...You project an imaginary copy of the image of the Neg onto the Neg over and over again until it vanishes.  It's like creating bombarding it with its own "imagisitc frequency" over and over, which cancels it out.  Usually, while awake and meditating, if I have a Neg attachment, I'll try to see it and try to be open to whatever I see or don't see.  If I see a snake shape or a spider shape (and it's sometimes more clear--they look like dense, bluish-black vapor clouds to me) then I'll send out that image on top of the image of the Neg from my third eye again and again.  And, a clarification, I only do it if I'm already experiencing signs of a psychic attack--like pins and needles, pain or pressure in my Crown chakra, sudden weird anger or frustration, or low, gross-feeling densities in my aura.

And I don't do the technique for any longer than 2 minutes or so--(1) I try not to go into excessive effort with it, as I find that doesn't help; and (2) if after 2 minutes I've really concentrated and felt no release, or still see the Neg, I figure it isn't the answer at that time.   

In my class we debated a long time over whether erasing really "kills" the Neg or not.  Our teacher said he didn't really know, but he knew it was effective in getting low-level Negs out of your space.
