On a more serious note, recapitulating sexual relationships/events helps free up energies you may have invested in these "lovers" and helps both you and the partner "move on" so to speak. It helps you both, even if the other person resists this at first. If you don't actually dissolve the lines of energy, they may react in a way that is much more painful for you and a waste of your energy. If you do your part, then they are unable to maintain the connection, just as would be the same if they "wanted out" and did the same on their own.

Good thread started here. "Thou shalt deny me three times before the rooster crows," is how I'm familiar with the quote you mentioned. It's from the New Testament of the Bible. Jesus was talking to Peter, and telling him that he would deny knowing Jesus to interrogators looking to do him(Jesus) in. Peter said he would never do this, but it turned out he did exactly as Jesus said he would. Neverlethess he was dubbed by Jesus as "Petros" or " The Rock " ( this was in pre-WWWF Smackdown days!) and said "upon you my church will be built."

Recapitulation is described in the Casteneda books as a necessary concomitant to the sorcerer's path. I've found it necessary, and there are a variety of ways of doing it to suit various individuals.

I tried this exercise every day for 1-2 months with really interesting results, have stopped in the past few weeks because I'm trying out other techniques but overall I really recommend it.
