It will be a community blogging and networking site, with the ability to add articles, photos and various other forms of content. It will be fully searchable, and will also include other networking features such as events and a marketplace. As Andy said, we have looked at Drupal to see if we could use that as it is, but it doesn't allow for the extensive front-end user customization that we ideally want. But what it does have is a wonderful, extensible, plug-in architecture into which new pieces of functionality can easily be added. So, I'm going to work on changing pieces of its functionality to create our own custom-made engine which can be continually upgraded and improved upon. I really think there is a need for something like this at the moment and I haven't yet seen anything quite like it.

Our target market is basically going to be people who are interested in holistic health and spirituality.

I think we're also going to be using Drupal but with a lot of customisation because as it stands it only allows us to do about half of what we want it to do.

Rith regards to the name, well we don't want the name to imply too much, but I would like it to have some kind of spiritual connotation.

My favourite name I've come up with so far is Resonate.com but sadly the domain is unavailble, as are virutally all 1 word domains. Just about every half decent name I've thought of so far has been unavailable.

Thanks for the suggestions Zonabi, but Telepathic network is not what we're about. The name would have to appeal to just about anyone so it needs to be something far more general like Ryze or Xanga.
