Topic: Eris

This is a heavy documentary on Nibiru:

Nasa is calling Eris an "icy dwarf" planet. Interesting since all the images of Eris are Red. According to Zecharia Sitchin translations of Sumerian text, Nibiru is about the size of Saturn! So why did all these well educated scientist demote Pluto while debating the name of this planet... to make you think less of Pluto, therefore less of Eris? And why did they pick the name "Eris"? I dug around a bit and was surprised at what I found:

Eris, the largest dwarf planet known, was discovered in an ongoing survey at Palomar Observatory's Samuel Oschin telescope by astronomers Mike Brown (Caltech), Chad Trujillo (Gemini Observatory), and David Rabinowitz (Yale University).  We officially suggested the name on 6 September 2006, and it was accepted and announced on 13 September 2006. In Greek mythology, Eris is the goddess of  warfare and strife. She stirs up jealousy and envy to cause fighting and anger among men. At the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, the parents of the Greek hero Achilles, all the gods with the exception of Eris were invited, and, enraged at her exclusion, she spitefully caused a quarrel among the goddesses that led to the Trojan war.  In the astronomical world, Eris stirred up a great deal of trouble among the international astronomical community when the question of its proper designation led to a raucous meeting of the IAU in Prague. At the end of the conference, IAU members voted to demote Pluto and Eris to dwarf-planet status, leaving the solar system with only eight planets.

The satellite of Eris has received the official name Dysnomia, who in Greek mythology is Eris' daughter and the demon spirit of lawlessness. As Dysnomia is a bit of a mouthful, we tend to simply call the satellite Dy, for short.

As promised for the past year, the name Xena (and satellite Gabrielle) were simply placeholders while awaiting the IAU's decision on how an official name was to be proposed. As that process dragged on, however, many people got to know Xena and Gabrielle as the real names of these objects and are sad to see them change. We admit to some sadness ourselves. We used the names for almost two years now and are having a hard time swtiching. But for those who miss Xena, look for the obvious nod in the new name of the moon of Eris.

Notice how Eris's breath FROZE the Earth, then she grabbed Earth and shook it (earthquakes).
Before all previous Ice-Ages was/is a period of Global Warming!

Re: Eris

It is being reported that Eris has only one moon named Dysnomia:

Dysnomia (????????), imagined by Hesiod among the daughters of "abhorred Eris" ("Strife"),[1] is the daemon of "lawlessness", who shares her nature with Ate ("ruin"); http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysnomia_%28mythology%29

Dysnomia as Disorder:

"Dysnomia is a marked difficulty in remembering names or recalling words needed for oral or written language.

Dysnomia can be:

    * An inherited learning disability [1]
    * A symptom of dementia, including Alzheimer's [2]
    * A result (temporary or permanent) of brain trauma, including accidents or stroke [[3]]
    * A side-effect of certain drugs [4]
    * A result of aging
    * A short-term symptom of conditions including alcohol intoxication, low blood sugar, concussion, fluid/electrolyte imbalance, nutritional deficiencies, hyperthermia, hypothermia, hypoxemia"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysnomia_%28disorder%29

The Golden Apple/Apple of Discord:
An apple of discord is a reference to the Golden Apple of Discord which, according to Greek mythology, the goddess Eris (Gr. ????, "Strife") said would go "to the fairest" at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, sparking a vanity-fueled dispute between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite that eventually led to the Trojan War (for the complete story, see The Judgement of Paris). Thus, "apple of discord" became a euphemism for the core, kernel, or crux of an argument, or for a small matter that could lead to a bigger dispute.

Other photo evidence indicate that Eris has a total of FOUR moons. -edit by Bhang

Re: Eris

Bhang, there might be something conspiratorial about naming the 10th planet Eris and its moon Dysnomia, but what's up with those supposed photos of Eris? Would something farther away than pluto be viewable as a round ball?

This is the best real picture of Eris, taken with the Hubble:

http://tomsastroblog.com/images/eris061807.jpg

That pic you have is not Eris, but an infrared view of Earth or Jupiter undergoing some polar auroras. Compare with this sequence of infrared pics of earth:

http://pwg.gsfc.nasa.gov/istp/outreach/images/Aurora/greatsub.gif

As for the second photo you posted, looks like lens flare, the sun's reflection bouncing back from inside the dark filter used over the lens, or the camera's orange focus light reflecting back from a window it was shot through. Eris can barely even be seen with the Hubble, not at all with the naked eye, and never with a camera on the ground just pointed at the sky.

Some mundane NASA infrared image of earth or jupiter was grabbed off the net and relabeled "Eris" and then injected into the ongoing Nibiru / Planet X fiasco as false evidence. If it were included in pictures of Eris with "for illustration purposes only" then fine, but this false evidence is not good to push out there because it just reinforces gullibility.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

interesting to see that the HDDesign expected the timeframe around September 8, 2006 to be significant in the eveolving war scenario. The Trojan war popped up on the HDDates at macrolevel

Re: Eris

Too many photos to deny Montalk! Are you going to believe that Hubble's photos of Eris are those fuzzy dots you posted?
http://forum.noblerealms.org/pics/435_eris09.jpg
http://forum.noblerealms.org/pics/435_eris08.jpg
Those are public versions. The real Hubble images would look more like this:
http://forum.noblerealms.org/pics/435_eris07.gif

I reported three moons when actually there are four (I didn't notice the fourth one at first) - Four is the precise number of Moons that Nibiru has according to Zecharia Sitchin's translations. (last time I checked Earth had only one moon and Jupiter has at least 72 moons! So a measly 4 moons in the photo suggest that it is not Jupiter).
http://solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/pro … play=Moons
I believe the photos/frames to be genuine. According to Sitchin, there is a heavy layer of gold in the atmosphere of Nibiru/Eris hence it's highly reflective surface and reddish-orange appearance. Icy-dwarf my butt.

Re: Eris

Just go to the Hubble Heritage site and look at some of the best photographs ever taken by anyone of Earth:
http://heritage.stsci.edu/gallery/gallery.html

Then just imagine that many of these images are LIGHT YEARS AWAY but we can't point Hubble at the Moon, or show better pictures of the surface of Mars? Or better pictures of The 10th Planet/Nibiru/Eris, besides these funny looking dots?

Re: Eris

Tenth planet’ may be bigger than expected

by Jeff Hecht

An observational error may have understated the size of the tenth planet – if "planet" is in fact what astronomers finally decide to call it.

The upper limit on the size of the object, temporarily called 2003 UB313, was earlier set at 3000 kilometres following the Spitzer Space Telescope's failure to spot any infrared source at its location. But as its discoverer Mike Brown notes on his website, the telescope was actually pointed at the wrong place, so the object could actually be bigger than that.

The Spitzer observations were made before the object was entered in public data bases, so Brown's group at Caltech, US, had to specify the positions of it and two other giant Kuiper Belt objects.

Spitzer was aimed correctly at two of them - but somewhere along the line an error crept in with the location of 2003 UB313. "The mistake was caught by one of the many extremely careful members of the Spitzer Science Center," Brown writes. Spitzer will check the right spot to see 2003 UB313 later in August.
Heat and light

The space telescope’s infrared observations are critical for estimating the object's size. Asteroids, comets, and Kuiper belt objects vary widely in how much visible light they reflect, but internal heat makes them glow faintly in the infrared.

Knowing the object's distance from the Sun, astronomers can calculate its surface temperature, so measuring its infrared brightness reveals its size.

But Spitzer still may not spot 2003 UB313. Its spectrum resembles Pluto's, and if it reflected the same fraction of light – 60% – its known brightness would reveal it to be only 2860 kilometres in diameter, and too small to be seen. This would nevertheless make it bigger than Pluto, which is 2285 km wide.

But if it reflected the same fraction of light as Pluto's moon Charon, just 38%, 2003 UB313 would measure 3550 kilometres across, making it visible to Spitzer’s infrared instruments.
http://www.librarising.com/space/images/nibirusize.jpg
Urgent deliberations

Brown's group is also looking at 2003 UB313 at much longer wavelengths – near the boundary of the infrared and microwave bands – using the 30-metre ground-based IRAM telescope. This too can determine the object’s heat output, though the signal will be fainter than that sought by Spitzer.

The discovery of 2003 UB313 has added urgency to the deliberations of a working group that had been pondering the definition of a planet. Until that group comes to a decision, the International Astronomical Union says "the object will not be given an official name".

Approval of a name would then fall to one of two IAU panels - on minor planets or full-fledged planets - which have different criteria. The planet panel wants to continue naming planets after Greek and Roman gods. Brown says most of the good ones are taken, but "we have a couple of interesting choices in mind".

Re: Eris

For photo origin see: http://www.ufodigest.com/news/0507/eris2.html

The current situation - the Poles glaciers' melting is accelerating. The climate and geological changes will be increased because the planet Eris/ Nibiru hasn't even been close to Pluto, its nearest point to Earth is supposed to happen between 2010 and 2012.

At present identical phenomena (global warming, volcanoes activation, etc.) also take place on other planets from our solar system because of Eris/ Nibiru. Few examples:

•     The Neptune's moon, Triton is warming (BBC Science & Technology News, July 25, 1999).

Pluto experiences an extraordinary heating (Massachusetts Institute of Technology News, October 9, 2002).

Volcanic eruption on Jupiter's satellite Io (Icarus Astronomy, November 2002)

The warming of Mars (ABC News, December 7, 2002).

The warming of Saturn (January 28, 2007, www.interstars.net): scientists of the UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) - physics and astronomy department and those at the University of Boston have noticed that the temperature of the superior atmosphere of Saturn is higher that estimated. Thus, professor Alan Aylward at UCLA considers necessary the reexamination of the main hypotheses regarding the planetary atmosphere and establishing the cause of the respective heating. He also noticed a similar process on Mars, concluding: "Studying the aspects within other planetary atmospheres will help us to find out clues of the Terra's future."

On the Internet (Google) for Nibiru there are 586.000 references, for UB 313 - 1.130.000 references and for Eris - 3.970.000. A short video (4-5 minutes) on the above statements is available at: Leweb2zero-tv-nibiru.html

The books already mentioned also include various other descriptions of severe phenomena as volcanoes activation, increasing seismic activity, terrible hurricanes, huge tides, Poles reversal, etc., that happened 7200 years ago, respectively 3600 years ago, all of them being processes more and more frequent at present on Earth.

Few additional arguments that Eris is Nibiru:
•

The number of its satellites. Zecharia Sitchin said on them in the above-mentioned work: "Four satellites… they had a rapid rotation movement… swirling like twirls… three other satellites - The Mad Wind, The Twirling Wind and the Sovereign Wind… using their satellites as assault chariots, he (Nibiru - A/N) sent ahead the winds… the all seven winds… ready to fight."

On Google, the search "transneptunian object wikipedia" shows seven other celestial bodies, except Pluto and Eris, most of them discovered by M. Brown, C. Trujillo, D. Rabinowitz.

Their approximate dimensions are:

    Eris: 2400 km
    Santa (2003 EL 61): 1800 km
    2005 Fy 9: 1800 km
    Sedna: 1800 km
    Orcus: 1800 km
    Quaoar: 1200 km
    Ixion: 1000 km
    Varuna: 1000 km

Re: Eris

Eris, Pa! Heath! Jared! There's a fire in the barn!

Re: Eris

http://www.karmastrology.com/NewPlanets/Eris.shtml

However, the name, Xena, was not to last. The stuffed shirts and grand poo-bahs of the astronomical establishment won. They did much feather fluffing about Eris being larger than Pluto, and by August, 2006, had demoted Pluto to dwarf planet status and confined Eris to the same category.

Scientists have learned much about Eris already. While research released in Feb., 2006, suggested Eris might be as large as 3,000 kilometers in diameter, or a third bigger than Pluto, research from the Hubble telescope released in April, 2006, showed Eris has a diameter closer to 2,400 kilometers, about five percent bigger than Pluto.

What the Hubble research showed which was unexpected was that Eris reflects as much as 86% of the light it receives from the Sun. This is a very high percentage, about what one might expect a snowball on Earth to reflect, so astronomers are scratching their heads trying to figure out what's going on. Be assured the scientific types will be spending a lot of time on this, and we'll be hearing more as time goes by.

The basics, however, have been pinned down. Eris has a highly elliptical 560-year orbit around the Sun, which places it three times as far away from the Sun as Pluto and about 100 times as far away from the Sun as Earth. It is so far away that someone standing on Eris would see the Sun as about the same size as any other star.

The surface temperature is close to absolute zero, which is about -459ºF or -273ºC.   Spectroscopic analysis of the planet reveals methane ice, an unusual feature because such ice indicates a primitive surface which has not been heated significantly since the solar system was formed 4.5 billion years ago.

The planet's discoverers say that if the planet had ever gotten close to the Sun, all the methance ice would have boiled off right away. The only other plantary bodies in our solar system which have been measured with methane ice are Pluto and Neptune's moon Triton.

Eris also has a moon now named Dysnomia after the the daughter of Eris. Dysnomia is known as the spirit of lawlessness. This moon is about 250 kilometers in diameter and reflects only about 1 percent of the sunlight that reaches it.

The release of ephemerides for Eris marks the beginning of the fun for astrologers. The teaching in western astrology, the only astrological system in the world which accepts new planets, is that when a new planet is discovered and named, the archetype of that planet is available to everyone on Earth. The name of the planet counts, so does the planet's mythology and the story of the planet.

Because of this planet's slow orbit, everyone alive today has Eris in either Pisces or Aries. Thus the house placement rather than sign placement in the natal astrological chart will be the significant factor in determining Eris's meaning.

That's no moon.... it's a space station.

I think there are home telescopes that can see Jupiter better than the Hubble so I don't know if the photos we see are really the best possible, maybe. But there was a person in a class I had who brought in some photos of Jupiter just from a home telescope better than what I saw on the Hubble

Okay those we're really cool videos.  I'm speechless!

Earth changes, magnetics, aliens... aHHHHHHHH!

I thought he was going to talk about the wars in the other dimensions, but still a great presentation nonetheless.  This is all very interesting.  How can there be so many people on the planet?  Is the Earths carrying capacity really 5 million?  OH and radiation in our foods.... YUK!  This most certainly applies for Canada too.  Got to remember this!  It was awesome too how the spaceships just light traveled.  So we can do that too?  This all relates to zendens thread on magnetics, the DNA as a super-computer!
