Re: Photos of Wonderment

Tom Paine, I agree with you- it looks like aluminum spew. That is what they look like 15-20 minutes after the trail is laid down, I have watched it countless times. Still a part of me wants to try to make it pretty, but knowing where it came from makes it difficult for me......

Thanks!
No we got not, there is a farm neighboring a national park, the park is big and
the cities/farms here surround it.

Re: Photos of Wonderment

i took this pic just this last thursday - was walkin' around the town when i noticed this rainbow around the sun - never seen it before like that ... perfect-circle like ... guessing it had something to do with the moisture in the air ...

Re: Photos of Wonderment

The first one is cool.  Never seen clouds looking like that!  And that 2nd one is just awesome; and the comments were funny.  Also thought the rocket trail lit up was amazing.  Really, all of them were very much worth seeing.  I could look at photos all day.  (Even though I'm supposed to be working, heh.)

Re: Photos of Wonderment

nice one Pictus ... we just started doing photoshop in class this week - maybe i'll have some stuff to share at some point ...

but i wanted to drop this: http://www.artcoup.com/movie.html  ... a different kind of wonder (some of the pics in sections like 'crack'/ and 'dope' are graphic/maybe hard to look at, so you've been warned)

Re: Photos of Wonderment

Re: Photos of Wonderment

Following these instructions (but much simpler, two film strip filters taped straight onto the camera) I took some infrared pics with my digital camera:

http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/6963/img1214nu7.jpg

http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/8518/img1219bu7.jpg

http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/7908/img1227hb5.jpg

Everything with chlorophyll looks white. But they were deep green to the eyes.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

Re: Photos of Wonderment

Heheheheh
Very interesting thanks!
I prefer to convert the infra pictures to B&W or split tones
here some free action http://www.thelightsrightstudio.com/photoshop-tools.htm
here another http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm
Infrared pictures are good to apply some effects and mix with normal pictures.

I tried to make green again...  tongue
