Re: Photos of Wonderment

Well, I'm not good at photographing but Montalk & Pictus got me into this, their photos are great smile

I'll try to post a pic from Florence, Italy - one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

This is Florence Sunset from Piazza Michalengelo, a hill with great view of whole city:

Edit: Where did I go wrong? I thought the pics would be in this post? I uploaded the pics to flickr and put them into [url]tags. What else?

Edit 2: Wow! Thanks Siri. What a mistake! This shows I'm really beginner in this photo thing. I only put Florence Sunset photo this time.

You are using the page address, not the picture. (here the pictures links)

With Opera just right click the picture and use the option ‘Copy image address’

Re: Photos of Wonderment

oceanchild, to me that is a beautiful, remarkable contrast/flow of life (foreground), decay and death (background).  Even the last thing in the background (before the fake sky) is a giant ego-infested phallus.  The last hurrah of the ego maybe.

Re: Photos of Wonderment

I still think this dude has got some of the neatest photos I've ever seen....

I've always especially loved his dew drop photography, it's amazing.  But he has other great photos as well.  Lots of talent.   Be sure to click on the various photography subjects on the left side of the page, including plants and sky.  Awesome!

Another link that features his work with additional dew drop photography he's done:

Re: Photos of Wonderment

sweet pics, lyra - thanx for sharing ... seeings pics of nature is always a joy - and those dewdrop shots are very cool ...

i enjoyed shahin's stuff - especially his people pics - 'cause it's so every day - and i think he captures some cool moments + his pics makes sense after reading his bio - something in there about how we're all so different and yet have so many similarities - and how diversity is something which can be celebrated !

Hi Lyra,

Ever since you posted the cloud pictures they have been in my mind as if I have seen something similar in the past.  Here is a picture of one of the clouds:

http://img68.imageshack.us/img68/7857/lumpycieling7bz.jpg

I then remembered a cymatics experiment posted by montalk on which water is mixed with cornstarch and then exposed to various vibration rates.  Here is the experiment:

http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=CH6- … ch=science

This was posted in the “Vibration”  thread shown below (for those who wish to read further):

http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=CH6- … ch=science

Notice the similarities of the water ripples in the cornstarch experiment and the weird configuration on the cloud pictures posted by Lyra earlier in this thread.  It seems as if the upper atmosphere (above the clouds) was exposed to a constant vibrational frequency generated either naturally (some sort of atmospheric phenomena) or artificially (HAARP, cloud busters, etc…).  To me, the similarities are eerie and make me wonder if the human hand has anything to do with it.  I was born and raised in the tropic and now live in a subtropical area and have never seen such an awesome & eerie display of cloud formation in the sky.

Regards,

Lee
