Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

http://members.lycos.nl/banddisturbed/Int/Wallpapers/Disturbed_Profile2_800.jpg

Throughout the bands repetitive lyrics there are subtle alterations to the repetition wherin more profound messages get delivered. The theory I'm presenting is that the band members are concious shape-shifters seeking to subtly promote the concept within their fanbase.

Voices wrote:

You're making me known

Stupify wrote:

Why, do you like playing around with
My, narrow scope of reality
I, can feel it all start slipping
I think I'm breaking down

Down with the Sickness wrote:

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing
Broken your servant I kneel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems what's left of my human side
Is slowly changing in me
(Will you give in to me?)

Looking at my own reflection
When suddenly it changes
Violently it changes (oh no)
There is no turning back now
You've woken up the demon in me

Violence Fetish wrote:

You need to release
What you're feeling inside
Let out the beast
That you're trying to hide
Step right up and be a part of the action
Get your game face on
Because it's time to play

Conflict wrote:

Your people, enemy
My people's hated enemy
What are you, enemy
Though a created enemy

Droppin' Plates wrote:

Gonna fight the war
And use my music as a weapon

. . .

Don't wanna give us a place
Are you afraid?

. . .

I'm coming fast
Plantin' thoughts in your mind

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

Yeah stuff like this is the reason why I am very selective with my choice of "Rock" bands, or anything with lyrics in it for that matter.
I gotta admit though that singer of Disturbed is one hot as hell reptile but then again a lot of them are, for breeding's sake ;P Somehow I get the vibe that all he is getting though is drunken shenanigans with naive groupies who are incapable of reproduction. DOH!

Man I am a bitch today!

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

^ Haha, WTF.

About the band, I think you might be looking for things that are not there. The lyrics you posted (which are cringe-inducingly bad) sound like the cliched lyrics of a million other generic angst-ridden metal bands. I haven't seen enough evidence to support your theory, although I wouldn't dispute that a lot of musicians have nasty stuff working through them, as has been discussed in other threads.

I knew my viewpoint wouldn't communicate without adding my translations to each lyric, just didn't take the time to write them all in the thread. Maybe I will sometime.

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

What I want to know is, why do you suspect they're Reptilians and not just, say troubled human beings?

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

Because of the lyrics. The lyrics point to them being reptilians and not just troubled human beings.

There was another lyrics that I left out because I couldn't find, it said something to the effect of "we feed off of you" or "we feed off of your emotions".

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

If it is reptilians your hunting for you might find them as record executives or something, who suck artists dry and hamper their creativity. While I'm not a disturbed fan I do like some of their songs and admire their talent.

I believe your search for reptilians would be rewarded if you checked into Justin Timberlake or someone like that who is probably a flesh eating reptilian sent here to destroy the world with their horribly evil music and their cuteness. Also check out country muscians , songs about tractors and tequila , the reptilians might just be trying to kill humans through annoyance and bad music.

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

hmmm as far as "we and you"... you never know, the singer could be singing as if he is speaking from the enemies viewpoint.

when i'm feeling the poo of others I sometimes like to play with fake blood and write songs about werewolves ripping people apart and vampires and evil machines and whatnot. Not sympathizing with it by any means, if anything it's how I mock it and laugh at it.

Re: Disturbed Reptilian Rock Band

Really Disturbed is really not bad you shouldn't judge anything until you listen to it. There is ALOT heavier music out there , try meshuggah now thats a band thats a band that I like to blast threw the stereo to scare people.

Xenopope I don't see why your singling out Disturbed they are not the only rock band out there with dark lyrics.
