And the forests will echo with laughter.

There walks a lady we all know

How everything still turns to gold.

Hard Rock & three schools of Magick....

Jimmy Page, of the rock group Led Zeppelin, who owned one of the largest occult bookstores in England, had purchased the mansion of Edward Alister Crowley(1875-1947),

This is very intersting. I am quite sure that Led Zeppelin was sort of a "satanic" band: i understand the term "satanic" as STS; Led Zeppelin - as i see this band was all about STS. "Stairway To Heaven" is a very nice tune, but the Band has - in my opinion - an extrem STS orientation. Not good & not cool - if you look closer there is so much pose, so much fake...  The late 1960s transition from psychedelia into hardrock was difficult, painful and produced a whole bunch of bad bands. You may see them described as "killer heavy fuzz guitarpsych/rock" , but most of the time they're dull, elephantine, pompous affairs – losing the mystique and creativity of psych...  Hendrix and "Disraeli Gears" had pointedout a proper path through the forest, but then a whole bunch of overpriced, overhiped bands emerged (or were made by illuminati) - many from the L A area and many from England, proudly displaying macho vocalists, "bluesy" moods, bombastic organ and gonzo "biker" fuzz guitars.
So, although i considered LZ to be my favourite band in my late teens, i now see clearly that they were one of those illuminati-show-biz-bombastic outfits, created in order to imprint young receptive minds with truly satanic=STS ideas in the most  insidious, mean way.
Btw, The Doors, above all Jim Morrison....the same story to me. No good.

Crowley, one of the most famous Satanists of all time,

Well, Crowley was a great pretender. He was not a black magician, he came from the White school of magick: Let Master Therion speak for himself:
1. What is Magick:
"Magick investigates the laws of Nature with the idea of making use of them.  It only differs from "profane" science by always keeping ahead of it.  As Fraser has shown, Magick is science in the tentative stage; but it may be, and often is, more than this.  It is science which, for one reason or another, cannot be declared to the profane.

Religion, on the contrary, seeks to ignore the laws of Nature, or to escape them by appeal to a postulated power which is assumed to have laid them down.  The religious man is, as such, incapable of understanding what the laws of Nature really are.  (They are generalizations from the order of observed fact.)

The History of Magick has never been seriously attempted.  For one reason, only initiates pledged to secrecy know much about it; for another, every historian has been talking about some more or less conventional idea of Magick, not of the thing itself.  But Magick has led the world from before the beginning of history, if only for the reason that Magick has always been the mother of Science.
  "The Three Schools of Magick."
There have always been, at least in nucleus, three main Schools of Philosophical practice.
It is customary to describe these three Schools as Yellow, Black, and White.  The first thing necessary is to warn the reader that they must by no means be confounded with racial distinctions of colour; and they correspond still less with conventional symbols such as yellow caps, yellow robes, black magick, white witchcraft, and the like.  The danger is only the greater that these analogies are often as alluring as the prove on examination to be misleading.
These Schools represent three perfectly distinct and contrary theories of the Universe, and, therefore, practices of spiritual science.  The magical formula of each is as precise as a theorem of trigonometry.  Each assumes as fundamental a certain law of Nature, and the subject is complicated by the fact that each School, in a certain sense, admits the formul ¦ of the other two.  It merely regards them as in some way incomplete, secondary, or illusory.  Now, as will be seen later, the Yellow School stand aloof from the other two by the nature of its postulates.  But the Black School and the White are always more or less in active conflict; and it is because just at this moment that conflict is approaching a climax that it is necessary to write this essay.  The adepts of the White School consider the present danger to mankind so great that they are prepared to abandon their traditional policy of silence, in order to enlist in their ranks the profane of every nation.
We are in possession of a certain mystical document* which we may describe briefly, for convenience sake, as an Apocalypse of which we hold the keys, thanks to the intervention of the Master who has appeared at this grave conjuncture of Fate.  This document consists of a series of visions, in which we hear the various Intelligences whose nature it would be hard to define, but who are at the very least endowed with knowledge and power far beyond anything that we are accustomed to regard as proper to the human race... It may be suspected, for reasons which should be apparent after further investigation of the doctrines of the Three Schools, that this parable was invented by an Intelligence of the Black School, who was aware of his iniquity, and thought to transform it into righteousness by the alchemy of making a boast of it.  The intelligent reader will note the insidious attempt to identify the doctrine of the Black School with the kind of black magic that is commonly called Diabolism.  In other words, this parable is itself an example of an exceedingly subtle black magical operation, and the contemplation of such devices carried far enough beings us to an understanding of the astoundingly ophidian processes of Magicians.  Let not the profane reader dismiss such subtleties from his mind as negligible nonsense. It is cunning of this kind that determines the price of potatoes.

The above digression is perhaps not so inexcusable as it may seem on a first reading. Careful study of it should reveal the nature of the thought-processes which are habitually used by the secret Masters of the human race to determine its destiny.

When everyone has done laughing, I will ask you to compare the real effects produced on the course of human affairs by Caesar, Attila, and Napoleon, on the one hand; of Plato, the Encyclopaedists, and Karl Marx* on the other.
The Yellow School of Magick considers, with complete scientific and philosophical detachment, the fact of the Universe as a fact.  Being itself apart of that Universe, it realizes its impotence to alter the totality in the smallest degree.  To put it vulgarly, it does not try to raise itself from the ground by pulling at its socks.  It therefore opposes to the current of phenomena no reaction either of hatred or of sympathy.  So far as it attempts to influence the course of events at all, it does so in the only intelligent way conceivable.  It seeks to diminish internal friction.

It remains, therefore, in a contemplative attitude.  To use the terms of Western philosophy, there is in its attitude something of the stoicism of Zeno; or of the Pickwickianism, if I may use the term, of Epicurus.  The ideal reaction to phenomena is that of perfect elasticity.  It possesses something of the cold-bloodedness of mathematics; and for this reason it seems fair to say, for the purposes of elementary study, that Pythagoras is its most adequate exponent in European philosophy.

Since the discovery of Asiatic thought, however, we have no need to take our ideas at second-hand.  The Yellow School of Magick possesses one perfect classic.  The Tao Teh King.
...
Hoping that you are now recovered from the devastating revelations in the matter of the Yellow School, I must ask you to brace yourself for disclosures even more formidable about the Black.  Do not confuse with the Black Lodge, or the Black Brothers.  The terminology is unfortunate, but it wasn't I that did it.  Now then, to work!

The Black School of Magick, which must by no means be confused with the School of Black Magick or Sorcery, which latter is a perversion of the White tradition, is distinguished fundamentally from the Yellow School in that it considers the Universe not as neutral, but as definitely a curse. Its primary theorem is the "First Noble Truth" of the Buddha–"Everything is Sorrow."  In the primitive classics of this School the idea of sorrow is confused with that of sin.  (This idea of universal lamentation is presumably responsible for the choice of black as its symbolic colour.  And yet?  Is not white the Chinese hue of mourning?).
The analysis of the philosophers of this School refers every phenomenon to the category of sorrow.  It is quite useless to point out to them that certain events are accompanied with joy: they continue their ruthless calculations, and prove to your satisfaction, or rather dissatisfaction, that the more apparently pleasant an event is, the more malignantly deceptive is its fascination.  There is only one way of escape even conceivable, and this way is quite simple, annihilation. (Shallow critics of Buddhism have wasted a great deal of stupid ingenuity on trying to make out that Nirvana or Nibbana means something different from what etymology, tradition and the evidence of the Classics combine to define it.  The word means, quite simply, cessation: and it stands to reason that, if everything is sorrow, the only thing which is not sorrow is nothing, and that therefore to escape from sorrow is the attainment of nothingness.)
The philosophers of this School, seeking, naturally enough, to amend the evil at the root, inquire into the cause of this existence which is sorrow, and arrive immediately at the "Second Noble Truth" of the Buddha: "The Cause of Sorrow is Desire."  They follow up with the endless concatenation of causes, of which the final root is Ignorance.  (I am not concerned to defend the logic of this School: I merely state their doctrine.)  The practical issue of all this is that every kind of action is both unavoidable and a crime.  I must digress to explain that the confusion of thought in this doctrine is constantly recurrent.  That is part of the blackness of the Ignorance which they confess to be the foundation of their Universe.  (And after all, everyone has surely the right to have his own Universe the way he wants it.)

This School being debased by nature, is not so far removed from conventional religion as either the White or the Yellow.  Most primitive fetishistic religions may, in fact, be considered fairly faithful representatives of this philosophy.  Where animism holds sway, the "medicine-man" personifies this universal evil, and seeks to propitiate it by human sacrifice.  The early forms of Judaism, and that type of Christianity which we associate with the Salvation Army, Billy Sunday and the Fundamentalists of the back-blocks of America, are sufficiently simple cases of religion whose essence is the propitiation of a malignant demon.

When the light of intelligence begins to dawn dimly through many fogs upon these savages, we reach a second stage.  Bold spirits master courage to assert that the evil which is so obvious, is, in some mysterious way, an illusion.  They thus throw back the whole complexity of sorrow to a single cause; that is, the arising of the illusion aforesaid.  The problem then assumes a final form: How is that illusion to be destroyed.

A fairly pure example of the first stage of this type of thought is to be found in the Vedas, of the second stage, in the Upanishads.  But the answer to the question, "How is the illusion of evil to be destroyed?", depends on another point of theory.  We may postulate a Parabrahm infinitely good, etc. etc. etc., in which case we consider the destruction of the illusion of evil as the reuniting of the consciousness with Parabrahm.  The unfortunate part of this scheme of things is that on seeking to define Parabrahm for the purpose of returning to Its purity, it is discovered sooner or later, that It possesses no qualities at all!  In other words, as the farmer said, on being shown the elephant: There ain't no sich animile.  It was Gautama Buddha who perceived the inutility of dragging in this imaginary pachyderm.  Since our Parabrahm, he said to the Hindu philosophers, is actually nothing, why not stick to or original perception that everything is sorrow, and admit that the only way to escape from sorrow is to arrive at nothingness?...
The documents of the Black School of Magick have already been indicated.  They are, for the most part, tedious to the last degree and repulsive to every wholesome-minded man; yet it can hardly be denied that such books as The Dhammapada and Ecclesiastes are masterpieces of literature.  They represent the agony of human despair at its utmost degree of intensity, and the melancholy contemplation which is induced by their perusal is not favourable to the inception of that mood which should lead every truly courageous intelligence to the determination to escape from the ferule of the Black Schoolmaster to the outstretched arms of the White Mistress of Life.
The White School:
Let us leave the sinister figure of Schopenhauer for the mysteriously radiant shape of Spinoza!  This latter philosopher, in respect at least of his Pantheism, represents fairly enough the fundamental thesis of the White tradition.  Almost the first observation that we have to make is that this White tradition is hardly discoverable outside Europe.  It appears first of all in the legend of Dionysus.  (In this connection read carefully Browning's Apollo and the Fates.)

The Egyptian tradition of Osiris is not dissimilar.  The central idea of the White School is that, admitted that "everything is sorrow" for the profane, the Initiate has the means of transforming it to "Everything is joy."  There is no question of any ostrich-ignoring of fact, as in Christian Science.  There is not even any more or less sophisticated argument about the point of view altering the situation as in Vedantism.  We have, on the contrary, and attitude which was perhaps first of all, historically speaking, defined by Zoroaster, "nature teaches us, and the Oracles also affirm, that even the evil germs of Matter may alike become useful and good."  "Stay not on the precipice with the dross of Matter; for there is a place for thine Image in a realm ever splendid."  "If thou extend the Fiery Mind to the work of piety, thou wilt preserve the fluxible body."* We may define the doctrine of the White School in its purity in very simple terms.

Existence is pure joy.  Sorrow is caused by failure to perceive this fact; but this is not a misfortune.  We have invented sorrow, which does not matter so much after all, in order to have the exuberant satisfaction of getting rid of it.  Existence is thus a sacrament.
There is thus in this School no attempt to deny that Nature is, as Zoroaster said, "a fatal and evil force"; but Nature is, so to speak, "the First Matter of the Work", which is to be transmuted into gold.  The joy is a function of our own part in this alchemy.  For this reason we find the boldest and most skillful adepts deliberately seeking out the most repugnant elements of Nature that their triumph may be the greater.  The formula is evidently one of dauntless courage.  It expresses the idea of vitality and manhood in its most dynamic sense.

The only religion which corresponds to this School at all is that of ancient Egypt; possibly also that of Chaldea.  This is because those religions are Magical religions in the strict technical sense; the religious component of them is negligible.  So far as it exists, it exists only for the uninitiate.
The Christian religion in its simplest essence, by that idea of overcoming evil through a Magical ceremony, the Crucifixion, seems at first sight a fair example of the White tradition; but the idea of sin and of propitiation tainted it abominably with Blackness.  There have been, however, certain Christian thinkers who have taken the bold logical step of regarding evil as a device of God for exercising the joys of combat and victory.  This is, of course, a perfectly White doctrine; but it is regarded as the most dangerous of heresies.  (Romans VI. 1,2, et al.)

For all that, the idea is there.  The Mass itself is essentially a typical White ritual.  Its purpose is to transform crude matter directly into Godhead.  It is thus a cardinal operation of Talismanic Magick.  But the influence of the Black School has corroded the idea with theological accretions, metaphysical on the one hand, and superstitious on the other, so completely as to mask the Truth altogether.

At the Reformation, we find a nugatory attempt to remove the Black element.  The Protestant thinkers did their best to get rid of the idea of sin, but it was soon seen that the effort could only lead to antinomianism; and they recognized that this would infallibly destroy the religious idea as such.

Mysticism, both Catholic and Protestant, made a further attempt to free Christianity from the dark cloud of iniquity.  They joined hands with the Sufis and the Vedantists. But this again led to the mere denial of the reality of evil.  Thus drawing away, little by little, from clear appreciation of the facts of Nature, their doctrine became purely theoretical, and faded away, while the thundercloud of sin settled down more heavily than ever.
There is in history only one movement whose object has been to organize the isolated adepts of the White School of Magick, and this movement was totally unconnected with religion, except in so far as it lent its influence to the reformers of the Christian church.  Its appeal was not at all to the people.  It merely offered to open up relations with, and communicate certain practical secrets of wisdom to, isolated men of science through Europe.  This movement is generally known by the name of Rosicrucianism.

The word arouses all sorts of regrettable correspondences; but the adepts of the Society have never worried themselves in the least about the abuse of their name for the purposes of charlatanism, or about the attacks directed against them by envious critics.  Indeed, so wisely have they concealed their activities that some modern scholars of the shallower type have declared that no such movement ever existed, that it was a kind of practical joke played upon the curiosity of the credulous Middle Ages.  It is at least certain that, since the original proclamations, no official publications have been put forward.  The essential secrets have been maintained inviolate.  If, during the last few years, a considerable number of documents have been published by them, though not in their name, it is on account of the impending crisis to civilization, of which mention will later be made.

There is no good purpose, even were there license, to discuss the nature of the basis of scientific attainment which is the core of the doctrines of the Society.  It is only necessary to point out that its correspondence with alchemy is the one genuine fact on the subject which has been allowed to transpire; for the Rosicrucian, as indicated by his central symbol, the barren cross on which he has made a rose to flower, occupies himself primarily with spiritual and physiological alchemy.  Taking for "The First Matter of the Work  a neutral or inert substance (it is constantly described as the commonest and least valued thing on earth, and may actually connote any substance whatever) he deliberately poisons it, so to speak, bringing it to a stage of transmutation generally called the Black Dragon, and he proceeds to work upon this virulent poison until he obtains the perfection theoretically possible.
During the last two generations the Masters of the Yellow School have been compelled to take notice of the progressive ruin of the White adepts.  Christianity, which possessed at least the semblance of a White formula, is in the agonies of decomposition, even before it is actually dead.  Materialistic science has overwhelmed the faith and hope of the Christians (they never possessed any charity to overwhelm) with a demonstration of the sorrow, transitoriness and cruel futility of the Universe.  A vast wave of pessimism has engulfed the fortress of Mansoul.

It was indeed a deadly blow to the adepts of the White School when Science, their own familiar friend in whom they trusted, lifted up his heel against them.  It was in this conjuncture that the Yellow adepts sent forth into the Western world a messenger, Helena Petrowna Blavatsky, with the distinct mission to destroy, on the one hand, the crude schools of Christianity, and, on the other, to eradicate the materialism from Physical Science.  She made the necessary connection with Edward Maitland and Anna Kingsford, who were trying rather helplessly to put the exoteric formulae of the White School into the hands of students, and with the secret representatives of the Rosicrucian Brotherhood.  It is not for us in this place to estimate the degree of success with which she carried out her embassy; but at least we see today that Physical Science is at last penetrating to the spiritual basis of material phenomena.  The work of Henry Poincarè, Einstein, Whitehead, and Bertrand Russell is sufficient evidence of this fact....The Black School has always worked insidiously, by treachery. ... The White School has thus been paralysed.  We are reminded of the spider described by Fabre, who injects her victims with a poison which paralyzes them without killing them, so that her own young may find fresh meat. And this is what is going to happen in Europe and America unless some- thing is done about it, and done in very short order.
P.S. Our own School unites the ruby red of Blood with the gold of the Sun.  It combines the best characteristics of the Yellow and the White Schools.  In the light of M. Aumont's exposition, it is easy to understand.

To us, every phenomenon is an Act of Love, every experience is necessary, is a Sacrament, is a means of Growth.  Hence, "...existence is pure joy;..." (AL II, 9) "A feast every day in your hearts in the joy of my rapture!  A feast every night unto Nu, and the pleasure of uttermost delight!" (AL II, 42-43).

Separating the Message from the Man... Crowley.

As the Man was quite Dissonant in his own life, and the Myth created around him infinitely moreso, many steer clear or accept generalizations, making it difficult to begin to evaluate, much less digest, his legacy in occultism and philosophy.

My approach was to read all available BY the man before worrying about what was written ABOUT him, and I found much useful.

By that approach, the following isn't even neccessary. However I think it's worth posting, "for the younger bretheren" wink

FREQENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS  ABOUT ALEISTER CROWLEY

{excerpt from chapter 0 of "The Magick of ALeister Crowley: A Handbook of the Rituals of Thelema" by Lon Milo DuQuette}

Bury me in a nameless grave!
I came from God the world to save.
I brought them wisdom from above:
Worship and liberty and love.
They slew me for I did disparage
Therefore Religion, Law, and Marriage.
So be my grave without a name
That earth may swallow up my shame!

-ALEISTER CROWLEY

Aleister Crowley is dead.

He died of natural causes on December 1, 1947, at the age of seventy-two at his residence at Netherwood, Hastings. His body was discovered by his landlord who reported that only moments earlier he had heard the old man pacing back and forth across the floor of his second-story apartment. There was no one with him when the end came; therefore reports that his last words were, "I'm perplexed" are patently false.

Contrary to many reports, he did not die a raving lunatic. He was bright and witty to the end. In fact, two of his most extraordinarily brilliant works, The Book of Thoth and Magick Without Tears, were penned in years just before his death. His last days were not spent in squalor and abject poverty. His modest residence in Hastings was a charming and reputable boardinghouse.

Distortions of the facts surrounding his death are minor compared to those that still surround the events of his life. But it is not the purpose of this work to systematically rebut the mountains of misinformation that still denigrate the reputation of this remarkable man. This has been accomplished admirably in a variety of well-researched biographies including the following works that I do not hesitate to recommend:

A Magick Life, The Biography of Aleister Crowley by Martin Booth, London: Hodder & Stoughton, 2000.

Do What Thou Wilt, A Life of Aleister Crowley by Lawrence Sutin, New York: St. Martin's Press, 2000.

Perdurabo: The Life of Aleister Crowley by Richard Kaczynski, Ph.D., Scottsdale, AZ: New Falcon Publications, 2003.

Even though the focus of this book is upon the importance of the ritual works of Aleister Crowley, I would be remiss in my responsibility to the beginning student if I did not at the outset endeavor to disabuse the reader who has perhaps given credence to the misstatements and downright whoppers that continue to be perpetuated by religious zealots and tabloid journalists.

Below are some frequently asked questions about Aleister Crowley. My answers are the result of thirty years of research into every aspect of his life; interviews with individuals both here and abroad, who knew and worked with him, including Major G.L. McMurtry and Dr. Francis (Israel) Regardie, and a review of historic documents in the archives of Ordo Templi Orientis, the George Arents Research Library, Bird Library, Syracuse University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Gerald Yorke collection currently housed at the Warburg Institute of the University of London.

Frequently Asked Questions About Aleister Crowley:

“¢ Was Aleister Crowley a Satanist or a devil worshiper?

No. Although he can be misquoted (and quoted out of context) to suggest otherwise, Crowley most certainly was not a Satanist or a devil worshiper. There is no question that he seemed to enjoy his sinister reputation. It is also true that he loved to shock the shockable and was happy to allow anyone who was ignorant and superstitious enough to believe in a bogeyman devil to be afraid of him also. But in order to be a Satanist (by the most common definition during Crowley's lifetime) one must acknowledge the reality of the Judeo-Christian-Muslim spiritual worldview–a worldview that embraces the concept of a devil who is the all-evil opposite to a god who is all good. As Crowley repudiated Judeo-Christian-Muslim doctrines (including belief in the existence of their "devil") there are no grounds whatsoever to charge that he was a Satanist.

"The devil does not exist. It is a false name invented by the Black Brothers to imply a Unity in their ignorant muddle of dispersions. A devil who had unity would be a god."

It is true that there is much in the imagery of Crowley's writings that is dark and at first glance very terrifying. But if we view these works objectively, we find nothing in them any more frightening than the imagery we find in the Bible or any number of other religious literature, Eastern or Western.

Crowley especially despised the hypocrisy and the spiritually restrictive aspects of established religions, especially Christianity, and did not deny charges that his philosophy was anti-Christian. However, a careful examination of his writings reveals his profound understanding and respect for the pure spiritual impulse that is at the heart of all religions including Christianity. His allusions in his writings to Satan, Lucifer, the devil, and so forth are pertinent only within the self-referential documents of Thelema. They can only be understood and evaluated within those contexts and should only be disturbing or offensive to those individuals who for whatever reason are unwilling or unable to do a little honest homework.

“¢ Was he a Black Magician?

At the beginning of chapter 8 you will find a quote by Crowley that defines the term "black magic" in its strictest context. However, the common definition of a Black Magician is someone who willfully uses magical powers to harm others. Crowley was bound by multiple magical oaths to devote all his energies–intellectual, artistic, magical, and spiritual–toward the complete emancipation of the human race. His entire magical career, indeed his entire life, was dedicated to that purpose. He most certainly did not fit the above definition of a Black Magician. But, as I said earlier, for those unwilling or unable to do a little objective homework many of the magical operations Crowley chronicled in his diaries and books may on the surface appear to be works of black magic.

For example, if you haven't read enough of Crowley's works to learn that Goetic demons are "portions of the human brain" or that the "Hell" into which the magician plunges in order to conquer and command those "demons" is our own subconscious mind or that the curses and restraints the magician uses in particular forms of black magic are merely techniques to isolate, focus, and direct our own natural mental abilities–then there is little chance of convincing you that these exercises are not black magic and that those individuals who would try to better themselves by such spiritual practices are not Black Magicians.

“¢ Why did he call himself the Beast 666?

Crowley's father was a lay preacher of the Plymouth Brethren, a fundamentalist Protestant sect. His mother was also a devout (Crowley says "fanatical") member of the church. Together they did their best to raise young Alick in the tenets of the faith. However, the youngster was a mischievous and headstrong lad, and his mother equated his behavior to the rebelliousness of the devil himself. In moments of aggravation she called him the "Beast 666." He loved it, and as he grew up he delighted in identifying with the name and number as representative of all things joyously opposed to the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and sexual restrictions by which oppressive religions would enslave the human soul.

As a young man just beginning his study of Hebrew and Christian mysticism, Crowley discovered that the number 666, rather than being a number associated with evil, was especially sacred to the Sun and the heart Chakra (or psychic center) in the human body–also called the Christ center.

To understand why 666 is a magick number of the Sun, we first refer to the Qabalistic diagram the Tree of Life and discover that the sphere of the Sun is the sixth Sephirah, Tiphareth. A kamea (or magick square) of the Sun is a square composed of 36 squares (6 x 6). The numbers 1-36 are then arranged in such a way that every row and every column add to the same number. That number is 111, and the sum of all the squares is 666.

6  |32|3  |34|35|1
7  |11|27|28|8  |30
19|14|16|15|23|24
18|20|22|21|17|13
25|29|10|9  |26|12
36|5  |33|4  |2  |31

Like other "blasphemies" he would hijack from Christian literature to express the dynamics of new Aeon concepts (i.e., Whore of Babalon, Blood of the Saints, Cup of Abominations, etc.), the term "Beast 666" was just another example of Crowley using concepts that in the past represented the unholy terrors of an evil future, and redeeming them so that they presently represent the holy mysteries of the emerging new age. It's as simple (and as unsatanic) as that.

Crowley explained why he called himself the Beast 666 when he testified in court in a 1934 lawsuit. I wish I had space to reprint the entire testimony.

"Did you take to yourself the designation of `The Beast 666'?" "Yes."
"Do you call yourself the `Master Therion'?"
"Yes."
"What does Therion' mean?"
"Great wild beast."
"Do these titles convey a fair impression of your practice and outlook on life?"
"It depends on what they mean."
"The Great Wild Beast and the Beast 666 are out of the Apocalypse?"
"It only means sunlight; 666 is the number of the sun. You can call me `Little Sunshine."'

“¢ Did he advocate or perform human sacrifices?

Crowley clothed many of his teaching in a thin veil of sensational titillation. By doing so he assured himself that one, his works would be understood and appreciated only by the few individuals capable. of doing so, and two, his works would continue to generate interest and be published by and for the benefit of both his admirers and his enemies long after his death.

He did not–I repeat–did not perform or advocate human sacrifice. He was often guilty, however, of the crime of poor judgment.

Like all of us, Crowley had many flaws and shortcomings. The greatest of these, in my opinion, was his inability to understand that everyone else in the world was not as educated and clever as he. It is clear, even in his earliest works, that he constantly overestimated the level of sophistication of his readers, and that he took fiendish delight in terrifying those who were either too lazy, too bigoted, or too slow-wined to understand him. Even when it is obvious that he is doing his best to be clear and comprehensible his never-ending allusions to classical literature, chemistry, esoteric doctrines, myths, and ancient civilizations send the average student flying to the nearest university library to discover what this man is talking about.

It is even more difficult to discover what he is trying to say when he purposefully veils the true meaning of his words so that only initiates possessed of specific information know what he is really talking about.

Such is the case when he wrote about sex magick. First of all, he felt bound by various oaths not to openly reveal certain secrets of sexual magick. Secondly, in the years he was writing on these subjects, one could actually be arrested for writing too explicitly about sexual matters.

Unfortunately, in part 3, chapter 12 of Magick: Book Four, Liber ABA, where Crowley attempts to discuss theories and techniques of sexual magick, it seems he was not satisfied with being simply subtle; he went out of his way to be scandalously misunderstood. For perhaps a score of initiates on the face of the Earth at that time, chapter 12 was an informative (and in places hilarious) essay on the theory and practice of sex magick. Among other fool traps, he uses the words "blood" and "death" and "kill" to replace the words "semen" and "ecstasy" and "ejaculation." To the unwary, the entire chapter reads like one big instruction manual on human and animal sacrifice. Big joke!

Nobody laughed.

He titled the chapter, Of the Bloody Sacrifice, and of Matters Cognate, and I'm sure he thought everyone would understand his literary blind when they reached the end of the chapter and read his last sentence: "You are also likely to get into trouble over this chapter unless you truly comprehend its meaning."

The footnote to that statement is even clearer:

"There is a traditional saying that whenever an adept seems to have made a straightforward, comprehensible statement, then is it most certain that He means something entirely different. The Truth is nevertheless clearly set forth in His Words: it is His simplicity that baffles the unworthy. I have chosen the expressions in the Chapter in such a way that it is likely to mislead those magicians who allow selfish interests to cloud their intelligence, but to give useful hints to such as are bound by the proper Oaths to devote their powers to legitimate ends."

I guess it didn't occur to Crowley that few people would ever read his assuring comments because the average reader was scared to death by the seventh paragraph:

"For the highest spiritual working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory suitable victim...."

[And its footnote:]

"It appears from the Magical Records of Frater Perdurabo that He made this particular sacrifice on an average about 150 times every year between 1912 E.V. and 1928 E.V."

It should be obvious to anyone who carefully reads the chapter and its footnotes that the only thing to which Crowley was confessing was a great many ejaculations that did not result in the birth of a child. However, in 1923 when he wrote the above "confession," such candor in print could not be published. Ironically, talk of human sacrifice and other such shocking subjects could.

Martha Kuntzel, a Crowley disciple and high-ranking member of the German O.T.O., saw trouble coming and was understandably concerned that this statement would be misunderstood. She insisted to Crowley that the following "initiated interpretation" of his outrageous statement be added "for the sake of the younger Brethren."

It is the sacrifice of oneself spiritually. And the intelligence and innocence of that male child are the perfect understanding of the Magician, his one aim, without lust of result. And male he must be, because what he sacrifices is not the material blood, but his creative power."

Unfortunately, people who were only too happy to believe that Aleister Crowley could personally murder 2,550 babies didn't pay much attention to Kuntzel's "initiated interpretation." To make matters worse Crowley thoughtfully reminds us:
"But the bloody sacrifice, though more dangerous, is more efficacious; and for nearly all purposes human sacrifice is the best."

Thank you very much Mr. Crowley! I'm sure I will not be the last author who will feel obliged to try to explain your twisted sense of humor to his or her readers, colleagues, or mother.

“¢ Did he advocate or perform animal sacrifices?

Crowley did not advocate or perform animal sacrifices for magical or religious purposes. Besides indulging in the hunting escapades of a proper British sportsman, and the consumption of live clams and oysters, Crowley confessed to three other "murderous" acts:

1) As a boy, he killed a cat to test the validity of the statement, "a cat has nine lives."

2) As a young man, while attempting to "go native" in India, he paid for a goat to be sacrificed at a Temple of Shiva.

3) Before dining on frog's legs while camping in America, he performed a brief passion play before dressing the victim for the skillet.

Even though there are what appear to be references to the practice in some of the Holy Books of Thelema, animal sacrifice plays no part whatsoever in the Magick of Aleister Crowley.

“¢ Was he a drug addict?

Crowley's early belief that drugs could not harm the magician possessed of a pure enough will was dashed by the example of his own life. Crowley's struggles with heroin and cocaine addiction are legendary. At various stages of his life he was most certainly a drug addict. He also bravely overcame his addiction for lengthy periods of time and finally only needed his prescriptions to diminish effects of severe asthma and extend his life.

“¢ Was he a homosexual?

So ... what if he was?

(Sorry. I couldn't help that!).

Actually, Crowley was bisexual, and I believe he would be absolutely thrilled with twenty-first century attitudes concerning sexuality.

“¢ Was he a traitor to England and/or a German spy?

Charges that Crowley was a traitor to England and perhaps even a German spy stem from several newspaper editorials he wrote in New York City, just prior to America's entry into the war on England's side.

It must be remembered that the United States was very close to entering the First World War on Germany's side. America's large German population and other powerful industrial interests were winning the public relations battle in the press. If England was to survive, something had to be done to sway American public opinion to the English cause. Crowley convinced the publisher of the leading English-language German propaganda newspaper that he was a German sympathizer. He was given an editorial position at the paper and began to write the most outrageously bizarre editorials. He equated Kaiser Willhelm with Parsifal and Jesus Christ. He trumpeted Germany's right to rule the world. He even went so far as to write that Germany had the right to engage in unrestricted submarine warfare against the world's civilian shipping.

None of these things, I might add, reflected the German political or military foreign policy of the time. But it didn't matter. Soon Crowley's insane and blood-thirsty editorials created an anti-German hysteria that eventually swept the United States into the conflict on England's side.

His adventures in the Second World War are also interesting. The following is from my Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot.

"During World War II, at the request of friend and Naval Intelligence officer Ian Fleming,12 Crowley provided Winston Churchill with valuable insights into the superstitions and magical mindset of the leaders of the Third Reich. He also suggested to the Prime Minister, if reports can be believed, that he exploit the enemy's magical paranoia by being photographed as much as possible giving the two-fingered "V-forVictory" gesture. This sign is a version of the magical sign of Apophis-Typhon, a powerful symbol of destruction and annihilation, which, according to magical tradition, is capable of defeating the solar energies represented by the swastika."

British intelligence agencies will neither confirm nor deny that Aleister Crowley (or anyone else for that matter) was in service. Throughout his life he adamantly averred his patriotic loyalty to England. There is much evidence to suggest that he was and none to prove he was not.

“¢ Is it dangerous to study Aleister Crowley?

Aleister Crowley was by no means perfect. He was not good with people and often alienated those who loved him dearest. His bold explorations of human sexuality and drugs (always meticulously recorded and analyzed) are fascinating to study, but were never intended to be casually emulated. I have never encountered anyone who knew him that did not disapprove of some aspect of his character or behavior.

But he is dead. For us, only his works remain as a measure of the man, and thcy are currently more accessible to the general public than at any time during his life. His influence on the modern world of art, literature, religion, and philosophy is now widely acknowledged even by his most vehement critics. It is my hope that this book may help bring the wonder of his genius to a new generation of seekers and to an even broader audience of students.

But is it dangerous for some people to study Aleister Crowley? I guess I have to say yes. For those whose belief in a God of goodness hinges upon the reality of devil who is equally evil; for the superstitious, the ignorant, the lazy, the immature, the unbalanced, the mentally ill, the paranoid, the fainthearted; for anyone who for any reason cannot or will not take responsibility for their own actions, their own lives, their own souls; for these people Aleister Crowley is still a very dangerous man.

Re: War In Heaven

XzenTriCo--Thank you for your post and the link!

I'd forgotten how engaging and clear a writer Crowley was.  His explanations of
the different branches of Magic(k) are, like his explanations of the various branches
of yoga, very concise and to the point, without unnecessary embelishments.

As Sgt. Friday on Dragnet would say, "Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts!"

And Crowley was never a "Satanist."  This is what the British press and other
yellow journalists liked to call him, because explaining what he was really up
to was beyond the scope of their understanding or that of their readers.

He was however a Luciferian," the Lord of Life and Light." To equate that with
satanism, which is merely a mirror image of Christianity is an ingnorant
mistake.

Re: War In Heaven

Oh, Luciferian no doubt. Lived much of the Prometheus archetype, complete with unneccesary self-inflicted suffering. (part of the Plymouth Bretheren paradigm he never got free from)

Most of AC's "failings" as a human being are traceable to his non-application of Thelema to himself. The Sutin bio illustrates this copiously.

As to his work and his Work; he is priceless to posterity.

His clarity as a writer (and his EGO in the same contingent) is precisely what throws so many off. He could be concise to the point of obscurity. He was enormously proud of his concise, yet hermetic, explanations. Very much someone who got off reading what he'd written (so well).

And it IS good, but sometimes just throws the casual reader off.

Of course, he didn't want casual readers... but I think if he'd known of the "war engine" Ra-Hoor-Khuit would provide (the internet) he'd have gone for a wider reader-base wink

I shall endure until the end!

Yeah, thanks for the info ZT!  Had no idea who this guy was until a few days ago, and what he wrote about.  His description of the tree of life is very fascinating and I finally understand some of what the tree represents.

Re: War In Heaven

a new aha moment on the search/journey.  started out today to continue to look up stuff, mainly wanting to get back to the elf transmissions stuff, find out more, which i did and will show u guys that.  have some new info on it.  then, as yesterday, found stuff too good on the templars, initiation, goddess energies, and its weaving amongst flow, from real history.  i read a good one today--"one mans myth is another's religion"--loved that.  all this remembering, past live stuff, WIH stuff, ascension, and RE-Claiming the self.  the initiation/ transformation process, id be safe to say (and who wants to be safe?--not really necessary, but then...) is KNOWING THE SELF really really well.  that means the good, the bad, the stinky, the rotten, the beautiful, etc etc. (and reptilians hate stink/smells, hmmmm, theyre in us too).  so i found this website, and coinkydink--from the stuff on ELF.  now, aint that somethin!  it kills me to see how that works, totally amazing. too damn good.  going in ever repetetive cycles, circles, which i know is a good thing, going in circles is helpful, and cannot BE helped, from what ive found.  thats how it works, i see that now.  good ole thoth said so, and the darkness hides in angles, not to get going on that again, but theres alot in that as we know now, the angles/ANGLES to it all.  dig this=   THE BINARY SOUL DOCTRINE.  applying it to the WIH material.  apparently, theres that split, causing the trouble, or NOT?

the self is split, on earth, and apparently, in heaven, at death, THEY SAY--its a theory anyway, so then i thot, after reading this, below.  that its good to unite it, necessary to finally unite it, thru our eveolution.  ok, the joining together of self, if u believe in the split, and after all, there certainly is the duality thing.  ok then, the self UNITES and is NOT split on/upon death, and that always happened BEFORE.  but within/in/with this new deal a comin, it cannot, will not, be allowed to do that anymore, as EVOLUTION will stop it.  this time.  so this ascension deal, the CRATS cant get it all, or did they ever?  read this, and apply it to WIH, the NEXT chapter.  i think they musta got one or the other, either the soul, or the spirit.  kept splitting us, so each time we came back, the samsara/cycle repeats, its the frickin trap. its always been that way for many an eon. u die, u come back, split on death, split on return, and u keep going back that way, cant remember shit.  but u sorta DO ANYWAY.  mutterings. SELF-mutterings, u do remember somethin, but not entirely, its just bits and pieces.  u spend ur whole life then, gathering info, gathering back those itty bitty, and they DO grow bigger, little bits and pieces.  F'IN AAA--a life of being fed, and eating, kibbles and bits.===dogshit.  and thats why we're so damn mad all the time, we wanna fight that.  thats whats pissing us off.  we know we deserve and can remember BETTER.

D I V I S I O N  T H E O R Y
OUR TRAGIC PAST

A whole history emerges from the study of  BSD, the binary soul doctrine, a vision of humanity that recalls a tragic past and anticipates a glorious future.

The picture that emerges from the BSD suggests that, as surprising as it sounds today, death wasn't always a problem for human beings. The BSD indicates that there actually was a time, thousands upon thousands of years ago, when we didn't fracture at death. From one incarnation to the next, we would retain full possession of all our faculties, and remembered everything about all our past lives and histories.

But then something changed, something that affected our whole species more or less all at the same time, and that was when this dark curse fell upon us. That watershed moment has come down to us in our myths as the "Fall from Grace in the Garden of Eden", but it might be better understood today as the arrival of a great disease that corrupted our souls, a disorder that persisted within us even beyond death's door. That watershed moment has even been rediscovered by modern science, delineated in Princeton professor Julian Jaynes' seminal work "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind".

For the last five or six thousand years, then, our minds have basically been getting ripped to shreds every time we die. The conscious portion of the mind has been disengaging from its unconscious half, and each crippled portion has then gone on separately into the "next world". What actually happens is that the conscious loses its memory and eventually reincarnates, while the unconscious becomes trapped in its memories and feelings from the past, and unwittingly creates an imaginary heaven or hell dreamworld for itself out of those feelings and memories, a perpetual dream (or nightmare) it can never awaken from on its own. In the next world, these two cursed, crippled disembodied fragments of what was once a whole human being each experience a cruelly distorted reality, and they seem to be responsible for most of the reports we hear about ghosts and poltergeists, and maybe mankind's legends of zombies and vampires as well. In recent years, reports of near-death experiences and past-life regressions have documented numerous cases in which subjects reported experiencing their minds dividing in two during the death transition. Numerous modern psychics and mystics like Edgar Cayce, Immanuel Swedenborg, and Rudolf Steiner have reported this soul-division, and dozens of ancient religions all around the world once based their entire theological systems around this same premise.

but as a friend told me 2 weeks ago, the next time this happens, we WILL REMEMBER IT ALL.  my god, thats fantastic, and fits beautifully, thats why theres no manual when u come here, u cant know or remember who u were/which affects who u are, IMO.  that makes one less powerful.  AHA.  but thats going to CHANGE.  it gives no chance, only a semblance of those damn lessons ur supposed to know, feel, slay, get over, so as not to repeat.

For millennia, mankind essentially seemed trapped, doomed to remain stuck in this repeating cycle of self-destruction with no practical way out. Lifetime after lifetime, most of us would divide again and again, repeatedly losing everything we work so hard for in each life. While most new generations contained a rare few individuals who pursued a life of enough authenticity, integrity, and psychological health to enable them to "keep it together" during the death transition, the vast majority of humanity's masses were just going through the same futile motions lifetime after lifetime, never making any progress towards resolving our dilemma. In effect, we were trapped, and needed a hero to rescue us.  buddhists abhor that, call it the samsara, the endless repetitive.

In the meantime, this "disease"  ?virus?  has made us divided beings, and our world a divided world. Our division has come to completely rule the world. We human beings rule the world, yes, but our division rules us. It has made us collectively and individually insane, possessed of two alienated minds that seldom agree with one another. One side of our mind rules the day, the other the night. One side predominates among artists, mystics, women, and Democrats, the other among scientists, businesspeople, men, and Republicans. This war within our souls is reflected in our endless history of political warfare, and it is clear that mankind will never know peace on this planet until our inner conflict is finally and fully resolved, for the one is father to the other.  child of the man.

To complicate matters more, we each apparently also have numerous past-life selves hiding inside us, busily but silently dreaming away their own fantasies of heaven or hell within the darkest recesses of our own minds. Each time we divide at death, we add to their numbers, but we may not keep adding to their numbers forever. The day will come, according to the BSD, when they are all shocked into reawakening inside us again. And just as our whole species started suffering this soul-division at the same time, so too will we all be restored to wholeness simultaneously as well. This inevitable, horrific moment of restoration has been anticipated for millennia, and we know it as the ancient prophecy of the Universal Resurrection of the Dead on Judgment Day. or the ASCENSION.

THIS, then, is the "Great and Terrible Day of the Lord". "Great" because our dead will rise and we will regain everything we thought we'd lost forever, including full knowledge of all our past identities, memories, histories, talents, skills, and wisdom. "Terrible" for the very same reason: because our dead will rise, OR BE FREED from the theocrats, and we will finally have to confront and acknowledge the fruit of our own actions. those that went along with it,k made them bigger, trapped others. We will recall with our own minds, and feel with our own hearts, the karma that played continually and torturously out from one life to the next over thousands of years, inflicting payment of each life's sins on the incarnations that followed. "Terrible" too because many of our reawakened dead will be re-awakening from (their dreams of) hell, and will not be unaffected by the experience. And as the separate minds of all our past-life incarnations slowly integrate together, their experience in hell, will become our own.  or restated here--their experience in "heaven"...so this led me to think then, maybe thats why the crats, are so worried then, theyre gonna lose their grip, this is their last chance. theyre gonna make it impossible to get thru new gates or something like that, to keep the SOUL / SPIRIT SPLIT .  so we make it or we dont.  theyll not be able to rule anymore, or as strong anymore, and screw up heaven or the realms, or whatever one wants to call it, and send us back for more, so we can just go back in/thru the same dumb damn gatesagain and again.  thats why theyre hangin on so tightly, and as i said way back, that i thto i read and was on to something, that "theyre gonna try and make a big theocracy here on earth before the end"--like they havent already?  geez--its all over the place, they pretty much got er done, maybe.

ansd i just have to say this, and i dont know if u guys r familiar, but this so ties in, and i read it yrs ago.  that if a human is destroyed in a nuclear war, in nuclear holocaust, the SOUL IS SLPIT FOREVER.  forever,  and theres no easy way to get the pieces all rejoined, and unfragmented again, as the powerful physics, fission, literally blows it.  in more ways than one, it blows it. literally.  this sounds totally reasonable, and always bothered me.  i thot, then, when i read that, that omg--thats about right, no wonder theyd try and pull that.  what a totally awful trick to pull on humanity.  man oh man, theres some real TERRIBLE hate of us out there.  oh my god, and if im not mistaken, i think thats from the readings on the MONTAUK project, from their RV'ing and experiements looking into timegates, and reptilian adventurings, blowing time portals and all that.  then i got a message, a thot came to me, same one as from childhood, they cant blow this up, its not theirs to blow, other races, alien civilizations would be real unhappy with that, and would be forever affected by that, in the cosmos, and thats really the truth of that.  cosmic neighbors would have our debris on their doorstep.

with what is happening and to come, this 'split' wont happen anymore and maybe thats the crux of it.  thru all these initiations we do, to claim and know, and love SELF, we evolutionize, and they have no hold, like they did before.  we could call it BSD, alright, so how about Binary SELF Doctrine.  since soul, is really reflection=/is SELF IMO.  once again, we dont need any outside help--no out--side--OUTSIDE help. we need none this time, it was never, i guess, ever gonna come at all.  that must really piss them off, that we figured that out.  and we did it all by our little eeeny meeny mo selves.  hahaha.  read the next part if this is resonating...

Re: War In Heaven

THE TEMPLARS & THE BSD--all from the same above linked site for ur perusal

Although the Orthodox Church succeeded in stifling the public activities of the Gnostic Church, it was never able to completely shut it down or totally eliminate its teachings about humanity's binary soul. By receding into the shadowy fringes of Western culture, the BSD was able to survive the world's transition into Christianity. In much the same way that the Mesopotamians believed in two souls (the napistu and the zaqiqu) two thousand years before Christ, and the Canaanites believed in two souls (the nps and the ?) 1000 years before Christ, so too the Jews, Manichaeans, Mandaeans, Muslims, Cathars, and Templars continued to do so long after Christ as well.

Within the West, however, the BSD had a much harder time surviving. Being outlawed by the Orthodox Church, it had to rely on secrecy to make sure its teachings continued to be passed down from generation to generation. Certain idiosyncracies of the legendary Christian order of the Knights Templar (1118 -1314 AD) suggest they were intimately involved in that mission. The seal of the Templars, for example, depicted two knights riding  together on a single horse.  Like the enigmatic Templars themselves, this odd symbol has remained an inscrutable mystery for hundreds of years, and dozens of different theories about its meaning have been advanced. The orthodox explanation was that it symbolized the Templars' poverty, but since their order was one of the richest and most influential institutions in Europe, this assertion would appear a little preposterous. The binary soul doctrine, on the other hand, seems to suggest a far more reasonable explanation. The Templars, of course, were Christians, but FOREMOST GNOSTICS--i inserted that here-- they knew Jesus said, "It is impossible for a man to mount two horses or to stretch two bows. And it is impossible for a servant to serve two masters." another piece of symbolism.  they were at it all the time.  thats why ppl that dont know em, will get so lost about em.  u cant fight crats if ur split, soul and spirit. u'd have to be "YOU/United in YOU".  thats my hypothesis.

So, the Templar seal is yet another elegant symbol of the soul and spirit uniting together within a/one person . When the two halves of our being are at odds with one another, each straining in different directions like two separate horses, the person trying to ride them is unable to get anywhere. But if both halves of a person's being are united, one becomes incredibly powerful and successful, no longer wasting his energies fighting against himself. The Templars, of course, were known for just that -- becoming extraordinarily powerful and successful in a very short period of time.  and then they were infiltrated, stolen from, and ruined, just as fast.

it is thot, that they indeed, found the gospels of thomas, which the idea of unity and BSD may emanate from, and the church outlawed it in the 4th century.  In any event, the similarity between the Templars' Christian logo depicting two men riding a single horse and the Gnostic Christian injunction that one man should not try to ride two horses seems unlikely to be a complete coincidence.  they were again, using their symbols to explain things.

In much the same way, the Templar's mysterious battle flag, known as the Beausant, also seems related to the BSD.  Consisting of two equal but opposite vertical blocks, a black one atop a white one, this flag also suggests that the Templars' secret teachings revolved around the integration or unification of two equal-but-opposite elements. It seems odd, however, for a Christian order to adopt a flag which raises black above white. Black is usually equated with evil and white with good, just as an upper position represents preference or dominance while the lower suggests inferiority and subservience. And as if that wasn't strange enough, these black and white fields are of equal shape and volume, suggesting that the flag designer viewed them as equal opposites. This all seems inconsistent with the views of Orthodox Christianity, which holds good to be superior to evil. But if these black and white fields instead represent the two halves of the human psyche, the Templars' flag makes perfect sense. According to the binary soul doctrine, while the two halves of our being are equal opposites, the unconscious, or "black" half must be "raised up" within each of us for our spiritual salvation to begin.  PICTURE a square (it wont image post)  with the top half black, and the bottom pure white. 1/2 & 1/2.  make whole.

Why would the Templars redesign religious imagery in black that had previously been consistently portrayed in white? Probably for the same reason they raised black above white in their battle flag. Two chief symbols of the unconscious soul, of course, are femininity and the color black. (i did not know that, that black = femininity, is the symbol for it, and that makes sense, it is abhorred by he typical sheeple--the wearing of all black, is assoc with witchery/evil/voila--WOMEN.  but really it symbolizes mystery and power.  Taken together, the symbolism of their seal, their flag, and their penchant for Black Madonnas suggest a strong connection to the BSD. Like the Gnostics, the Templars seem to have also understood that achieving the Christian salvation required worshiping (that is, recognizing and embracing) the dark or 'invisible' contents of the feminine unconscious. While both our halves must be united and balanced, the way to accomplish this is to place the black above the white.  the search for self again--dark and light halves/SIDES. & uphold the deeds done, accept them, forgive, heal them=SELF.

Since humanity's whole spiritual problem has always been one of repressing, denying, and rejecting the unconscious, balance can only be restored by compensating for our present imbalance. Just as the ancient Egyptians believed that Osiris, as great as he was held to be, could only be saved in his time of need by his female counterpart Isis, so too did these Templars apparently believe that the female side of our beings was the half that possessed the power to restore our equilibrium and wholeness, healing our inner divisions and "making the two one." As if to confirm this, the Templars' chosen name for their flag, the French term Beausant, translates directly into English as "beautiful bottom" or "beautiful buttocks". far-out--and thats how they were blamed for homosexuality, sodomy, etc.  very handy, use them, against themselves, ive pointed this out, before.

While this translation has been odd enough to keep most would-be interpreters busy searching for alternate translations, it makes perfect sense to the student of the BSD, which insists that the path to spiritual success begins via deep soul-searching, exploring one's own backside, searching the darkest, bottommost levels of our own psyches. And just like the ancient Gnostics, the Templars seem to have believed that what awaits us in that dark hemisphere possesses surpassing beauty.  right into goddesss energy, heart, the feminine wave upon us.

and, IMO, the only way to fight the crats.  the split is what causes them, (and ppl's guilt which parlays that damn split and makes ppl succumb to them easier, seeking redemption from THEM of all bullshit--egads dont fall for it, and im not goin to that almighty, and it aint light, not goin into the samsara cycle, like a hamster in a wheel, round and round, and round.  can ya see that--omg).  my hypothesis is that we change the split route, we own it this time, and they cant get one or the other--soul or spirit.  i see the soul-eater part now, and i think tom had some stuff on that way way back.  it all makes perfect sense.  i dont know which part they get, but it doesnt matter anymore, cuz there aint gonna be a split.  they cant race after or call forth either PART.  it wont exist, we have JOINED IT ALL< even biologically thru evolution of the SELF.  it all finally aligns,  we mastered it this time, the end cycle the ninth GATE.  it is REAL.  when, more like AS, we ascend this time, it will finally be "more complete"  or really COMPLETE in and of itself.  AHA--there will be no split anymore, so all the talk of "true selves" is really real and fitting. see what i mean?  so parts of us cant be taken over or comandeered anymore.  thats the whole route/initiation to gnosticism.  that weaves EVERYTHING In for me.  we will be mighty in this, for we have forgiven ourselves, healed ourselves, with no one but our SELVES to thank.  no help from outside, no middle man, no outsiders, no INTRUDERS.  we go in all to-2 GETHER/GATHER.  no more dualism.  AHA.
