Ahriman's incarnation, like that of Christ and Lucifer, may be on multiple levels. First level: semiconductor technology, the internet, wireless networks, and artificial intelligence yet to come. Second Level: assimilation of those who become spiritually atrophied and etherically enslaved by technology. Third Level: actual human incarnation(s).

AB, I think a human incarnation that fits Steiner's description is yet to rise to power. However, Steiner did carve a head of Ahriman that looks uncannily like Bush:



Bush expresses the Ahrimanic archetype: cold, programmed, mechanical, simulacral, hateful "intelligence". But he's simply not charming, intelligent, or slick enough to be the incarnation-in-the-flesh. I could be wrong, though. He certainly is worshipped by at least 30% of Americans.

Steiner did go on to warn that besides Lucifer and Ahriman, the third force of "evil" that would manifest tangibly would be that of the Asuras - the occultic / archonic / demonic forces. Think of the flying monkeys in Wizard of Oz. The closest thing to the Asuras today would be grays / reps and various negative astral powers. The human incarnation of the Asura archetype is surely still to come.

If I had to guess, I would say that in terms of technology, electricity/microwave/silicon/cyberspace captures the essence of Ahriman while the more exotic black projects technology - alien inspired - such as antigravity, teleportation, soul-frequency control, remote viewing, psychotronics, ray guns, etc... are expressions of the Asura archetype. 

Both are closely related, and the Ahrimanic incarnation on all levels would be a necessary prelude to that of the Asuras. For instance, softening up mankind through the 'convenience' of technology (blackberries, remote controls, cellphones, RFID, computers) pre-echoes alien saviors eventually offering us the 'convenience' of antigravity, free energy, psychic powers, etc... but all at the price of spiritual freedom.

Steiner was once secretary of the german part of the theosophical society so this is why fingers are sometimes pointed at him. "The Initiation" has been a good introductory book for me. Very sensible information on how to walk the spiritual path.

The central rite of "Satanism" or "black magic" -- sometimes crude, sometimes sophisticated -- is the deliberate, ritual torture and killing of animals and, at a more advanced level, of humans. When done in a precise way, this practice confers knowledge and power upon the practitioner; also, it affects the whole earth, hardening and rigidifying it, to the characteristic Ahrimanic purpose. Thus we can see the hordes of "researchers" and medical students -- who hurt, injure, and "sacrifice" animals -- as undergoing an unconscious, Ahrimanic black magic initiation, which hardens, brutalizes, and Ahrimanizes their souls, and through them also the culture, and even the earth itself. (Sacrifice is the actual word they commonly use, not thinking which "god" they sacrifice unto.) Vivisection is truly the archetypal act of modern science as it is generally understood and practiced.

From Montalks link above, this puts into words what i have always felt about  black magic  incorporated into Science and a fasinating insight into how people are trapped into becoming vehicles of manipulative  forces that they would defend as noble and right.

Well, I read through the entirety of that Ahriman page, as well as the PDF file on Lucifer, Ahriman, and the Asuras. The similarity between Steiner's thinking and my own is downright eerie. Here are a bunch of quotes which I found interesting, and which others may be able to benefit from without having to do all that reading:

The one thing that bothers me about Rudolph Steiner (and Manly P. Hall, who I also really like) is this historical stuff. History is so easily manipulated. At the time of its recording it is subject to so many distortions. And when it is later interpretted it is subject to many more.

Movies like Dark City and Blade Runner are so compelling because they raise the question "Is there any way for me to prove that all my memories up to this moment are legitimate?" We are forced to admit that there is no proof to be found. Memory cannot be trusted. Confronting this thought is dizzying and revelatory. It causes us to seek out the uncorruptible core of human essence: that divine spark which stands apart from time in the eternal present. Does our collective history have such a core? Maybe so, but I can't see it.

To my way of thinking, the best one can do with known recorded history is use it for the generation of parables. It seems dangerous to think of history as an objective record of reality. It also seems dangerous to look for too much meaning in the collective's historical record.

In addition to falsified collective history, there's also the idea of repression of history. History can't be the answer, because it is possible to put a man in a position where he is kept ignorant of history, and so cannot benefit from a study of history. If knowledge of history is the key, then all evil needs to do to trap us forever is to keep us ignorant of history.

I tend to think the entirety of what is true must be observable in one lifetime. When you start trying to extend yourself accross multiple lifetimes, (ignoring or discounting the "deathtimes" in between) you begin to place too high a value on the living world. There is work to do in the afterlife, too. The good dead are those who tend to this work, (Service To Others, or Service To All) while the evil dead are those who spend the afterlife trying to reach back into the world of the living, to control it. They probably have other aims as well. Maybe they are afraid of "the death of the dead", namely bodily incarnation in the realm of mortals. Perhaps if they can siphon off the energy of the living they can avoid physical incarnation with all of its restrictions. It seems there is a connection between black magicians of modern times (the royal Satanic elite which runs the world, for whom guys like George H. W. Bush and sons are gophers) and the aformentioned "evil dead". Both seem to be obsessed with death, thinking they can overcome it by embracing evil. The Satanic elite uses inversion of morals--ritual torture, rape, and murder--to achieve its ends. Perhaps similar goings on are occurring even now in the world of the dead. It's as though there is an evil pact between some elements of the dead and the living to nullify the division between life and death by sacrificing others. Steiner says there is a good way to go about this, though, through peace.

The Asuras (plural) are sprits of personality, then. I wonder if they have to do with Gurdjieff's nine personality types? Persons of "type number x" might be observed to work together unconsciously towards goals befitting their type. Could the ultimate goal of each individual Asura be the physical incarnation into human form of its own personality type? I'm sure that propagandists and marketing researchers are well aware of different personality types and their susceptibilities to manipulation. It certainly would be more beneficial for such organizations to re-engineer the public to more clearly fall along these lines than to constantly chase at our tails in an attempt to suss out and respond to our natural motivations. Getting all humanity to conform to a limited number of personality types would make control of the public by the elite a much more manageble endeavor. It would allow the perpetuation of the illusion of human diversity and self-determination amongst the slave class, too. The work of marketing and propaganda seems to be the work of the Asuras.

Another wild thought: might "The Nine" channeled by Andrija Puharich have something to do with this? Kris Milligan in a response to a post at RI posted this: "There is another aspect to Synarchy. The concept of nine legendary leaders plays a large part in its philosophy. ... the Knights Templar, [were] founded by nine French knights shortly after the First Crusade." Could these alleged French knights be allusions to the spirit beings called the Asuras? I don't know much about the templars and their work, though.

It appears this natural evolution is what is being faked by the hive-mind technology which is on the horizon. Spiritual integration of the individual on a higher level according to the Christ impulse is being faked. New technologies aim to achieve a statistical integration of individuals as they are--with no distinction made between the wise and the foolish. The statistical mean personality is supposed to be the new Christ! Or rather, the anti-Christ.

A very good thought! I always had problems with marketing and advertisement strategies. Asuras will for physical incarnation? Great insight.

I have problems with this too. Probably because Steiner gives another meaning to "Christ" and I think it as something else. From my point of view, this is sheer disinformation.
